Chapter 15: Memory Lane (Part 3)

The next day: Lily's P.O.V.

"You ready to see what happens next?" Neal asks when he comes in. "Yeah, let's do it." I state, excitedly.

Flashback:

"Nothing like a happy customer." Neal greets Mozzie. "Ooh. I have to change my prices. The tourists are still bothering me." Mozzie states. Really Moz? "Makes it tough to do recon." Neal points out. "So, where were we?" Mozzie asks. "On the 50th floor." I point out. "By 'we,' of course, I meant 'me,' because you can't get off-leash and Lily has to stay where you are." Neal points out.

"It's casing an office. I think you can handle it, Moz." Neal states. We're on the second to last episode of Season 4. I have to tell Neal. "Neal, this is big and I have something to tell you. You're not going to believe it though." I say to Neal. Neal sighs. "Which is what?" He asks. He's not going to like this. "We can't go after the evidnece box with James." I say. "Why?" Neal asks. "Becuase there's evedince against James." I say in a serious tone. "No, no way." Neal states.

Should I just do it? "Neal I can't believe I'm going to say this but...I think it's time I break some of my own rules." I say to him. "What do you mean?" Neal asks me. "I know where the box is...I'm going to get it for you." I say to him. The comes in. Yes! He smiles that smile that means trouble. "Alright, then let's do it." Neal says. Peter walks up. "I know that El told you to lie to me." Peter says to us. "She told you?" Neal asks. "Yeah. You two talking about a plan?" Peter asks. "Yeah, one that's really going to surprise you." Neal states.

At Neal's: Lily's P.O.V.

"Do you have a plan?" James asks me. I don't know. "It depends...I'm debating weather or not I could use my..." I start up but heasitate. Neal nods as if to say 'Tell him.' I look at him back as if to say 'I don't trust him.' He shows back to say 'He's just going to ask what you mean.' "You two having a telepathic conversation or something?" He asks. "But he..." I start. "Lily..." Neal starts up. "But I..." I start again. "There's no other..." I start to argue. "Nah..." Neal starts. "I'm..." I start.

"Butternut Squash." Neal says. I huff. "Oh, you're good." I say. "We weren't that time. I was debating weather or not I could use my powers." I say. He looks at me like I'm crazy. I tell him my back story. He nods. "Multi-leapping huh? Use that, we get the evidence box and then we can go through it." James suggests. I can do this. "Lily are you sure you're up for this? If you get caught..." Neal starts up. "I know Neal, I know. If this prevents some things from happening, and helps Neal and Peter, then I'm willing to take that risk." I say.

"Alright, then. Be quick." Neal says. I nod and see a box with pictures in it. I grab that to make sure I can make the switch just in case.

In the Empire State Building: Lily's P.O.V.

I'm on the stairs and then switch the boxes. After that I see one of Pratt's agents. "That belongs to Senetor Pratt." He states. James and Senetor Pratt are up there. My powers must have glitched, darn it. "Jimmy Bennett and Lily Caffery. What are you two doing here?" Senetor asks us. "Your boy here caught me on the stairs." James claims. Crap. "So, what happens now?" I ask, a bit nervously.

At least Peter's not here. "We go our separate ways." He states. Please don't tell me that means what I think it means. "You're not gonna let me walk away from this." James says to him. No way, no how am I letting that happen. "All I said was separate ways. I'm headed back to Baltimore. You're headed to the FCI in Cumberland." He says to James. "I'm not going back to prison." James states. Yeah!

"Really? With your record? I don't see you going anywhere else." He states. Ugh, he's the worst. "I found him. After 30 years. And you took it." James states. No, he didn't. I'm having such a hard time not smiling right now. "You never were lucky, Jimmy." He states. Really? "You know, I've never liked it when you called me that." James says. "That's the least of your problems now... James." He states and then he opens the box to see the pictures. Ha ha!
