Lily's P.O.V.

"Sheriff, Lily, you got a minute?" Vincent asks. We walk over to Cafe Diem to see Lexi and someone else have a lot of trash and recycling on a table. "This obviously belongs with metal alloy. This with cellulose." Lexi says. I'm sorry, what? "And this..." Lexi starts up. "Complex non-irradiated silicon. I was recycler of the month." Someone states. "Good for you Doug." She replies. Seriously? "Hi, Lex." Jack greets. I finally get to meet Lexi. "Hey. Who's this?" She asks him. "Lily Parks." Carter says to her. Yeah, that's me. Not. "It's nice to meet you." I say to her, shaking her hand. This is so cool. "Nice to meet you too." She responds. I'm not going to fangirl. No way. Yes!

"Jack, do you know they recycle absolutely everything in this town? If I could just get Vincent to be a smidge more conscientious." Lexi says. A bit what now? "Could you do it someplace else?" Carter asks. "I don't think eggs over garbage is on the menu." I state. "Garbage? What century are you from?" He asks me. Ouch. Also, I've seen things he wouldn't believe. "Chuck's the majordomo for Eureka's recycling program. 'Why throw it when you can chuck it?'" Joe asks. Seriously? I don't like it.

"I'll meet you at the office." Joe says to us. "That can there is actually full of violations. I hope there's gonna be some pretty hefty fines, Sheriff." Doug states. What? "How about we just give him a warning this time?" Carter asks. I agree. "Okay. But I'm watching you. See ya later, Lexi." Doug says to her. "Vincent, can I have a green tea, please?" Zoe asks him. "Aunt Lexi." Zoe greets. "Look at you." Lexi responds. I'm so happy. Today is a fantastic day. "You like?" Zoe asks. Oh, yeah.

"Oh, it's om-mazing." Lexi states. What? "You're taking a class?" Carter asks her. "I found this program. An amazing program. It's a three-day workshop with Swami Goldstein." Zoe explains. "I'm dropping her off this afternoon." Lexi states. Great. "We talked about this, remember?" Zoe asks. "Yeah, you said you wanted to try yoga, not miss three days of school." Carter states. I forgot that normally 16 year old girls go to school. "Well, I mean, the swami's at the ashram only this week, and I talked to all my teachers, who said I could make up my school work." Zoe states.

That's great. "And I told her it was fine. This is a once-in-a-lifetime's opportunity." Lexi explains. What? "You told her it was fine?" I ask. That's not her call. "Zoe's a wise young woman, and she can make her own decisions." She defends. I don't think so. "Sweetie, I know you really want to go, but you're not skipping school to go to yoga, okay?" Carter asks. Way to go, Carter! Tough but fair. "Fine. You know, I just hope Eureka yoga gives refunds on clothes." Zoe states, leaving. "I'm late for my tour of the Eureka recycling center. Why don't you do everyone a favor and take the day off from helping people?" Lexi asks.

I don't think so. "Be careful what you wish for." Carter says. Exactly.

A few hours later: Lily's P.O.V.

"We gotta save her." I say when we see Lexi about to get crushed. This is scary. "It sounds like some kind of ambient interference, but I won't be able to really tell until I open her up. But she'll be fine." Carter says. "We'll do everything we can." I state. "Carter, Lily. Fantastic. Took you long enough." Lexi says to us. "Need some help?" Carter asks. I'm worried. "Could you just get me out of here?" Lexi asks Carter. "Sorry. Somebody told me to take the day off." Carter states. "I think you should get out of the car, Lex." Carter states.

This is crazy. "I just can't open the door. It's like some big, nasty aura." Lexi explains. "It's a reactive perimeter field. The more you move, the harder it holds on." Allison explains. "Great, what's it doing in the middle of the driveway to the recycling center?" Lexi asks. "No, this is a secure GD antenna station. Obviously you have the wrong clearance." I point out. "If there's a force field on the road, maybe they could put up a sign?" Lexi asks. "There used to be signs." Allison states.
