Chapter 1: Welcome To Eurkea

In Eureka: Lily's P.O.V.

I multi-leap outside the back of Carter's office. This is so cool! I go to the front and enter the . "Hello. I'm Lily Caffery, one of the new people working here." I say to Carter. This is amazing! I'm in the same room as ! Okay, I'm done fangirling now. "Hello. My name is Sheriff Carter but everyone just calls me either Carter or Sheriff. Welcome to Eureka! I do need you to sign a few forms please." He says to me, handing me two papers. "Okay." I say. Luckily I always have a pen and/or pencil with me and today I just so happen to have a pen.

It's one of those forms where you have to say that you won't tell anyone about what you've seen here and the consequences if you do, that type of thing. I read all of it and then sign it. "And I have your contract. It's a bit long but read it carefully." states, handing me about 10+ pieces of paper. "Allison Blake, head of Global Dynamics." Allison introduces herself. I put the papers onto the office island and shake her hand. "Lily Caffery, it is an honor to meet you." I say to her. "Thank you." She says. She leaves and I'm guessing she's going to get Zane.

About 20 minutes later, I'm finally done signing the contract. "So what was your job before this?" Carter asks. It was hard, that's what it was. "I was the Offical Federal Felone Protector for Criminal Informents or C.I. for the FBI. OFFP for short. It was my job to protect Neal Caffery who's dad ended up adopting me because of my family loosing their memory of me from my job before that. It was no picnick." I explain. I wonder if that's a T.V. show here? "I'm sorry, did you say Neal Caffery? I thought he was a chareter in a TV show called White Collar." Carter asks.

"It is here? Awesome! I'm from a universe where everything here is a T.V. show." I say to him. Carter looks at me like I'm crazy. I'm going to have to show him on my phone. "White Collar, Ruffian scene." I voice search on my phone. "That's not for you to decide you little ruffian." Hagen says on the video. "Oooh...He called you a ruffian." Neal says on the video, teasingly. "I'm a ruffian." I say, putting my hands on my hips and looking up triumphantly. I turn it off. "Wow, you're not lying." Carter states. He puts his hands on his head in shock. Yep. "Lily Caffery, at your service." I say to him. "So superpowers are real?" He asks. "No." I say, convincingly.

Allison comes back in with a file and explains to Carter the next new person coming. "You want to hire this guy?" Carter asks. "He's the best in his feild." Allison explains. "Oh, yeah, if screwing up is a field." Carter states. Excuse his language. I know what you're about to say, 'that's not a...' Well, I know what I wrote. "We need a particle physicist, Carter, and he's the most promising one out there." Allison explains. "He was accepted
to MIT at the age of 13. Expelled. Accepted at Yale. Expelled. Cornell. Oh, guess what? Expelled." Carter states.

Yeah, I know. He's not excactly the best person he could be in Season 2. "Not before winning the Spadaro Foundation Award for superstring theory." Allison states. "He set the bar so high that they don't even bother to give it out anymore." I state. "Here's a resume highlight, 'Just stole 3.1 million dollars from the U.S. Border Patrol account for drug interdiction.'" Carter says, sarcastically. I'm sorry, what the harmony does that even mean? "Allegedly. And can't we just agree that the war on drugs is really a moralistic assault on individual liberty, hmm?" Zane asks.

Not 21 and don't really know what that means. "Or not." Zane says when no one responds. Yeah, even if I did know what that ment I'd say no. "Hello, Zane. Welcome to Eureka." Sam welcomes. "Good to see you, Sam." Allison says to him. I used to have a friend named Sammy. Sammy was a girl though. Also a friend named Sam who was a boy at my old school. "Right back at you, Doc. So we got one one brainiac at the standard recruitment rate 25,000." He states. Whoa, that's a lot. "25,000 for this guy?" Carter asks. Yep.
