Connor opened his eyes, finding himself in a large botanical garden. Unlike last night, he had only one directive: [FIND AMANDA]
He walked through the sun-lit paths of the garden, briskly stepping over large stones laid down in a curved path, approaching a small altar-like sculpture.
As he went to pass it, Connor stopped, looking down at the peculiar thing, and pressed his hand to it for a moment. The skin on his hand quickly disappeared, revealing his porcelain white exterior. After several seconds passed with seemingly no reaction, Connor straightened back up, and continued on his way.
He soon found who he was looking for tending to a rose-bush trestle, delicately watering each individual rose that grew against it.
"Hello, Amanda," Connor said, standing a respectful distance away from her.
She turned to face him, a look of contemplation on her face. "Connor... It's good to see you."
Connor offered her a polite smile, but said nothing.
"Congratulations, Connor... Finding that deviant was far from easy, and the way you interrogated it was very clever. You've been remarkably efficient, Connor."
"Thank you, Amanda," he said with a nod.
"We've asked the DPD to transfer it to us for further study. It may teach us something about what happened."
Amanda turned away from Connor, tending to her roses as she continued speaking.
"The interrogation seemed... challenging... What did you think of the deviant?
"It simulated human emotion, fear in particular, in a very convincing way. It seemed completely overwhelmed by them, and behaved irrationally," Connor said.
"This... Lieutenant Anderson has been officially assigned to the deviancy case... What do you make of him?"
Connor took a moment to process his next statement before answering.
"I think he's irritable, and socially challenged. But I also think he used to be a good detective... He's an intriguing character. I think working beside him will present its challenges, but I am sure I'm up for it."
"Unfortunately, we have no choice but to work with him... What do you think is the best approach?" Amanda asked.
"I will try to establish a friendly relationship. If I can get him to trust me, it will be helpful for the investigation."
Amanda turned to face Connor once more, repositioning the rose in her hand as she did so.
"More and more androids show signs of deviancy. There are millions in circulation. If they become unstable, the consequences will be disastrous. You are the most advanced prototype CyberLife has ever created. If anyone can figure out what's happening, it's you."
Connor nodded at her. "You can count on me, Amanda."

Connor walked into the Detroit Police Department's headquarters, using his authorization from CyberLife to enter the bullpen. With a quick scan of the room, he could see that neither Lieutenant Anderson or Detective L/N were in the immediate area.
He used their absence as an opportunity to explore the station for a few minutes before finding either of their desks. It was a fairly large work area, with many officers' and detectives' desks throughout the space.
As he walked up the short walkway in the middle of the work station, he came upon a rather messy desk, and saw a nameplate that read 'Lt. Anderson.'
Connor turned to one of the officers at a desk further down. "Excuse me. Do you know what time Lieutenant Anderson usually arrives?"
