Connor opened his eyes to once again find himself in the garden, this time with an umbrella in his hand. He looked up, seeing and hearing the light pattering of rain on the ground around him.

His objective was the same as before. [FIND AMANDA]

As he began to walk in attempts to search for her, he once again came upon the strange blue stone. He crouched down in front of it. Just like before, he pressed his hand to it, the skin disappearing from it as he slowly reached down.

After a moment of nothing happening, Connor stood back up, and continued on his way, locating Amanda not far from her trestle of roses.

"Hello, Amanda."

"Connor, I've been expecting you..." she said indifferently. "Would you mind a little walk?"

Connor stepped up to her, reaching down in order to unclasp the umbrella in his hand before holding it above the two of them as they began to walk.

"Congratulations, Connor, you managed to find that deviant," Amanda said with a smile as they made their way down the rainy path. "Tell me, what did you learn?"

"It was working under a false identity, at a nearby urban farm. This was the first time we've seen deviants blending in with the human population. Who knows how many others there are like it?"

"What else?" Amanda pressed.

"I found its diary, but it was encrypted. It may take weeks to decipher."

"You came very close to capturing that deviant..." Amanda paused, and Connor looked down at her, "It's a pity you let it self-destruct..." she finished, her tone almost mocking.

"I knew deviants had a tendency to self-destruct under extreme stress, but I didn't expect it to jump from the roof. I should've anticipated that," Connor explained.

Amanda nodded before asking more of him. "How is your relationship with the Lieutenant and the Detective developing?"

"Lieutenant Anderson and Detective L/N both seemed grateful that I saved his life on the roof. The Lieutenant didn't say anything, but he expressed it in his own way... As for Detective L/N, she has been very pleasant during the investigation thus far."

"Interesting... Tell me, Connor... What happened with the AX400 that escaped? Why didn't you keep chasing it onto the highway?"

"Lieutenant Anderson and Detective L/N both ordered me not to go," he explained.

Amanda narrowed her eyes at this. "Why are you following their orders..? You only have one responsibility, Connor: catching deviants."

Connor nodded. "Yes, Amanda."

Amanda abruptly paused as Connor took another step, leaving Amanda in the rain as she looked at him.

"We don't have much time. Deviancy continues to spread. It's only a matter of time before the media finds out about it. We need to stop this, whatever it takes."

"I will solve this investigation, Amanda. I won't disappoint you," Connor said determinedly.

"A new case just came in. Find Anderson and investigate it," Amanda said, and Connor closed his eyes.

"You have reached your destination. Thank you for traveling with Detroit Taxis. We look forward to seeing you again soon."

Connor stepped out from the dry warmth of the taxi out into the cold rain, closing the car door behind him as he approached a dimly lit house on the outskirts of upper Detroit.
