The Black Knight (Supergirl/You)

Chapter 7

Author's note: This is just a quick little filler chapter.

Kara's pov:

Aj came back yesterday and since then Alex and I can't stop arguing about her. "You can't always see out the best in people, Kara." Alex sighs. "Just because you, for whatever reason seem to trust her doesn't mean that I do." She says. "And I will be dammed if I let her hurt you or Lena." She says angrily. She sighs and then calms down once she sees my facial expression. I always hated when she yelled at me and she knew that because it made me feel small. "Look Kara. All I'm saying is that I don't trust that she will keep you safe. I can't lose you." She says softly and I just hug her tight.

"You won't lose me Alex. I know you don't trust her but could you at least have a little bit of faith. If not for the mission then at least for me please." I pleaded her. I gave her my best puppy eyes that I knew she couldn't resist. I saw her roll her eyes and smile.

"You're lucky I love you." She says and I chuckle. "The moment I feel that it's too much for us then I'm pulling everyone out of the mission and she's on her own. Got it." She says sternly and I nod my head. "Also don't think I don't know about your little crush." She says smugly and I feel my face get hot.

"What? No. That's not." I stutter out. "I do not have a crush on her!" I yell and not fully believing my own words.

"Yeah. Uh huh." She says unconvinced.

"Whatever." I said to her while sighing frantically. "Come on, Alex. Let's go or you'll be late!" I said playfully to her before flying away with my super speed. In the distance I can hear her saying something like how I'm a cheater. I just chuckle and fly towards the D.E.O. Once I get in there I just wait for Alex.

Once I hear her familiar grunts of aggravation I get excited. "You're late!" I whisper yelled towards her and she just rolled her eyes.

"Well some of us don't have the ability to fly so we have to drive all the way here instead." She says to me while taking a sip of her much needed coffee. She was always such a grump in the morning before her coffee. Many people find it intimidating but I just find it cute. No one else knows her like I do. She loves to put on a tough guy act but in reality she's just a big softy.

"Someone's upset." I chuckle. "Oh also, Lena couldn't make it, she's working on something that I totally was not listening to because there was way too many words I didn't understand." I said and she just laughs at me. "Well anyway." I said quickly changing the subject. "Let's find Aj and start our day!" I say excitedly and start dragging Alex towards Aj's room. Well really it's a cell that we turned into a somewhat bedroom.

We come to a halt outside of the cell when we realize that she is not in there whatsoever. The cell door is still locked so she escaped somehow. I don't have to look at Alex to know that she is seething. "Now before you say I-" I started saying but Alex cut me off.

"Not now Kara. We have to go find your escapee girlfriend." She says and grunts some more.

"Now let's calm down. One she is not my girlfriend and two, I can still hear her heartbeat near. She's still in the building somewhere. Come on. Don't sound any alarms I don't know if she'll run or not. Let's just find her and bring her back okay." I say calmly.

"Oh yeah we'll find her alright but I don't know about that last part." She muttered out. I just smile and head towards the sounds of her heartbeat. Alex follows closely behind me and I can see that her hand is on her gun. I get it, it's precaution but I don't think that Aj would hurt anyone and I also don't think a bullet could stop her either. I wasn't going to mention this to Alex though. She was already pissed off as it is.

I can hear her heartbeat loud as ever. Once I realize where we were I stopped and looked into the cell in front of us. This was a very unexpected sight. The hulk was in the cell dead asleep and there Aj was, sitting and leaning her back on his side. She was also asleep. The sight was honestly adorable. I heard a sigh next to me and Alex relaxed her stance while folding her arms across her chest.

"I'm going to kill her." Alex muttered.

"No you won't." I said and smiled and she just smiled again while pinching the bridge of her nose. 

"No I won't but I really want to. I'm just glad that she didn't just disappear without saying anything again. I'll let this one slide. This time." She says.

"Come on, Alex." I say while ushering her away from the cell. "Let them rest. She might have told us what happened but we still don't know the extent of it. Let's just let her sleep in. Just for today." I said to Alex, hopefully convincing enough.

"Fine but as soon as she's up it's back to training." Alex says to me and I just smile wide. "Now come on I just got word that there's some new alien terrorizing the town. Go get em supergirl." She says to me and I take off.

Author's note: The next few chapters will focus on Kara and Aj getting closer. After that will be the mission chapters. They will be very long so I wanted to throw in some shorter chapters before then. :)
(Also I promise Alex comes around)
