Kara's POV:

Alex and I jolted awake to the sound of screaming. It sounded like the Knight. Alex and I quickly rushed to the guest room where we found Knight screaming and thrashing around. She must be having a nightmare. "Natasha!" She screamed in her sleep. Alex and I quickly rushed to her side. We both tried gently nudging her to wake her up but she was still thrashing. She seemed to be in pain. My heart hurt for her in this moment.

"Wake up." I said. Alex and I both repeated the mantra until the Knight finally opened her eyes. She seemed confused at first, we didn't want to startle her so we stayed quiet until she realized where she was. "Did you have a nightmare, we heard you screaming." I said.

She sighed and rubbed the back of her head. I noticed that she did this whenever she is in an uncomfortable situation like right now. "It was wasn't a nightmare it was my memories." This poor girl has been through so much. I wish I could take the pain away. "I'm really sorry guys, I'm fine." She said and Alex and I both looked at each other. We knew that she wasn't fine.

"Who is Natasha?" I asked. Why did I ask? My mouth talked before I could even stop myself. She looked down and she seemed very sad. I shouldn't have asked. This was clearly a touchy subject.

"Nobody. At least not anymore." She whispered and I felt bad for bringing it up. She turned over and started speaking softly. "We should get some rest. We have a big day tomorrow she said. Also call me A.J." Alex and I both looked at each other again.

"Let's go back to bed, Kar." Alex says. "I'll be there in a sec. I just want to make sure that's she's okay" I said. I wanted to make sure that if A.J. Had a nightmare again she wouldn't be alone. A few minutes after her breathing evened and I heard a few snores I knew that she was going to be okay. I decided to finally head back to my room.

To my surprise Alex was still awake. "How was your crush?" Alex asked as I felt my face get hot. "She is not my crush." I quickly rushed out and she smirked "I was just tryna make sure that she was okay." I said softly while getting into bed. Alex just softly chuckled while becoming the big spoon. We both drifted off to sleep and the only thing on my mind was the mysterious girl in the other room.

The next morning I woke up to an empty bed which was expected. Alex was always a morning riser unlike me. The sweet smell of pancakes and toast pulled me out of my thoughts as I got ready for the day and made my way to the kitchen. Alex was standing there in her uniform ready for the day. She was eating off of her plate and handed me a plate that could easy feed two or more people. She knew me so well. There wasn't a third plate though.

"Where's Aj?" I asked.

"She left a note saying she was heading to the DEO. She told us, in her own words, 'be ready for me to school you guys'." We both chuckled ay the strange girl's antics. She was a very interesting girl to say the least. "I'm still on the fence about her, Kar." Alex says serious to me.

"Yeah, Alex, I know. The whole thing is honestly weird. There's just so many questions unanswered. I don't know much but I feel like I can trust her." I say.

"You've met her less than 24 hours ago, Kar." Alex sighed and glares at me.

"I knew Lena for less when I knew that I trusted her." I smile smugly at Alex. She just sighed and rubbed her temples. She knew she wasn't going to win this fight. I call it a success. Kara :1, Alex: zero. I laugh internally.

After we ate I flew us to the DEO and we went in search for AJ. We found Lena already there. She had just arrived a few minutes before we did. We caught her up on what happened last night. Hank found us and let us know that AJ was in the sparring room. We made our way to the sparring room only to see AJ floating a few feet in the air and she was in a meditating pose.
