I'm so sorry I thought I uploaded this chapter a while ago😭 it's a very short chapter but because I forgot to upload it I'll be uploading another one later today or tomorrow since it's almost finished.

Kara and I were just coming back from our spontaneous adventure when we were caught by the one and only Alex. "And where were you two?" Alex asks us like a parent who just caught their teen sneaking back in the house in the middle of the night.
"We were-" I cut Kara off before she could say anything.
"Hey! The readers can't find out until later in the story!" I say to Kara.
"The what?" They both ask me.
"Trust me Alex we were on an educational field trip. I know I'm not supposed to leave so I'm sorry Alex but it was for a good reason and you'll see it when the time is right." I explain to her seriously this time.
"I think I've learned to stop questioning you." Alex says and rolls her eyes. Kara and I just chuckle. "Oh Kar, Lena called me when she couldn't reach you. You're late for your date." She says and I'm not sure but I kinda felt something that I haven't felt in a long time. Jealousy. I don't know if it's because I've been spending a lot of time with Kara and she's going to hang out with someone else. Or maybe the fact that she's going on a date with someone else.
"Oh wow thank you for letting me know. I'll see you guys later! Bye!" Kara says before flying off in a hurry. I watch her leave and then I feel eyes on me. I turn around to see Alex smirking at me.
"What?" I asks genuinely confused.
"You like her don't you?" She asks me while pointing a finger at me.
"What? Me? No?" I scoff and gasp between my words.
"Uhuh." She says while crossing her arms on her chest. I don't think she believed me. Hell, I didn't even believe me. "You know she's not really going on a date right. It's just movie night with Lena. Nothing more. They truly are more like sisters than girlfriends. Just FYI" she says the last part with a smirk and I roll my eyes.
"Whatever" I mutter under my breath.
"It's okay if you like her you know. As much as I disliked you, I'm sorry hated," I scoff loudly and gasped while clutching my chest. "Let me finish. You've really come around. Kara saw something in you that no one else did. She's really good at stuff like that. But for whatever reason she really likes you and I can see that you really like her too." She says and I smile.
"Is it that obvious?" I ask her with a laugh.
"Yes, you guys are obnoxious. All you guys do is steal glances at each other all day when the other isn't looking. When I'm talking to Kara alone all she can do is talk about you. When I talk to you alone all you can do is talk about her. You guys just need to talk to each other. Look, I know you're immortal and everything but if you ever hurt her or even think about hurting her I will find a way to kill you. I don't make threats only promises." She says and I gulp.
"What if I end up hurting her without meaning to?" I ask nervously.
"It depends. What do you mean?"
"Whatever I tell you, you have to promise to never tell Kara. Please she can't know. I don't want her to know." I asks her and her whole demeanor changes.
"What is it?" She asks me.
"Before I got in the hands of Hydra I was diagnosed with stage four cancer. I was at hydra for a long time before I got my powers. In that time before I was on the brink of death. I had less than a month to live. My powers never cured my cancer I still have it but it doesn't affect me. My cancer cells are still riddled throughout my entire body. As you know I want a cure for my powers but really I only want a cure for on power in particular. I just don't know if curing that one power will cure my immortality too." I say with my head down.
"What power are you trying to cure?" Alex asks me. I know she's trying her best to hide her emotions but I know her better than that.
"The only power that you guys haven't seen. I hope that you guys will never see it. I didn't give myself 'The Black Knight' title, Hydra did. One of their excitements on me changed the course of everything. It's the main reason why Hydra wants me back so bad. I'm their most dangerous super weapon." I say to her.
"What is the power?" Alex asks getting louder. Probably out of fear.
"The reason they call me the black knight. Everything about me changes. It starts with body. My skin hardens and turns black. It looks like a mediaeval knight's armor. I gain a sword that that never dulls no matter how many times I use it. The suit itself is impenetrable and I can easily move within it making me an unstoppable. What comes next is my state of mind. It starts with either anger or immense fear. The next thing I know I'm killing any and everyone that stands in my way. I have only been in this state a handful of times but I never want to be in that state again." I tell her.
"How do you keep yourself from being in that state until you can cure it?" She asks me.
"So far the only thing is trying to keep my emotions in check." I tell her looking down.
"I think I know someone who can help with that." She says smirking at me.
"Kara?" I ask.
"Yep. Little ray of sunshine has been keeping you happy. Something I've noticed since you came here." She tells me. "Look I won't tell her about you but you should." She encourages me.
"Maybe." I tell her unsure.
"You're not in this alone you know." She tells me with a smile.
"Thank you, Alex." I say returning a smile.
