I told the stars about you
They told me I was insane
They told me I was crazy to think you'd love me again
I told the moon about you
She said I shouldn't pain myself
But I can't help following your gaze as you look at yourself
I told the sun about you
He said to stay away
He said that I was reckless, like a moth to a flame
I told the planets about you
They said I'd done enough
They said I was better off without you and all your toxic love
I told pluto about you
He said I had done no wrong
He said you wouldn't change, like the lyrics to an old song
Yet after all the advice I was foolish once more
After what the sky said I still knocked at your door
An action I knew so well I'd regret
But I did it anyway, I seem to forget
I shouldn't go back to you and this time I won't
Maybe I'll write it down
Maybe I'll write a note
