Chapter 6

The days quickly flew, everything went fine. Devyn and Dionne met, and Dionne really love Devyn. I couldn't be happier more than that. Warren has someone now. It's not the only us but she has Dionne now. She's powerful and she can help Warren in his battle.

We are just a mere soldier and side line for Warren to go on.

I cooked sopas for Devyn and also for my Twin. It's good that they have soup that can make them energized.

But I didn't know that Jirou will love this simple dish. She's smiling while eating the sopas and it made my heart flutter.

She keeps asking for more and I didn't stop giving it to her. I cannot believe that someone will love the soup I cooked. The one who delightful take a bite and asked for more.

Is this what they call Love at first bite?

I quickly shake my head because of that. I'm so corny! But I don't know... She's making me like her.

I'm stupid! It's only been few days and yet here I am liking someone I just met!

I sighed and sit beside her, I hold the book in my hands to read but I can't focus. My eyes shift to her as time goes by.

When I see her hair getting nuisance for her to eat, I reach my apron to get some of my ties and went to her. I quickly tied her hair which makes her stop eating, she looks back at me and I just smiled at her.

She stared at me and I'm getting drawn in her eyes. She gave me a small smile before looking back to the sopas and eating again. She didn't talk.

I think we match, we both don't talk that much. Kasi sabi nila kapag kaparehas mo raw ang tao ay match kayo? Nabasa ko sa libro 'yon, title pa nga ng libro ay "How will you know if you're in a match."

Binasa ko siya ng isang gabi noong binabantayan ko si Devyn sa hospital. Sabi nga sa libro kapag daw matangkad tapos kaunti lang pagitan ng height mo ay bagay kayo. Nakakilig nga eh kasi may mga dialogue pa na parang example. I want to experience that too.

Is this what they called puberty?!

The time of life when a child experiences physical and hormonal changes that mark a transition into adulthood.

But I am not a child, I'm an adult na.

Napanguso ako dahil do'n, so anong meaning nang nararanasan 'ko ngayon?

Muling bumalik ang tingin ko kay Jirou na ngayon nakatingin sa akin at nanghihingi pa. She's looking at me like a puppy that is begging for food. I went to get sopas and gave it to her again.

"Calm down, there's a lot of sopas in the pan," I said to her and gave her a tissue. She stared at me before looking back to the food. She's adorable.

I know a lot of foods that she can eat.

"Don't mind her," wika ni Dionne. "Puro kasi siya steak kaya ayan magiging steak na 'yan sa future. Hindi niya pa natitikman ang ilang foods dito dahil lagi siyang stick sa steak or vegetable salad, vegetarian yarn?" pang iinis ni Dionne kaya umismid na lang si Jirou.

Eating steaks? Isn't that too bad for her? She eats that everyday? No way I'm letting her eat that food again. I will cook for her everything for her everyday life.

"I can cook different foods that you can try," sagot ko habang pinagmamasdan si Jirou na tumitig muli sa akin, pero ibinalik kaagad ang tingin nito sa sopas. Umismid naman si Linux. Napatingin silang lahat sa akin.

"Hay nako, ganiyan siguro gawain ng mga taga-ibang bansa at mayayaman pa. Hindi man lang tumikim ng masarap," asik ni Linux kaya tumaas ang kilay ni Jirou. "Palibhasa pangit naman siyaz so panget din ang binibili niya."

I looked at Linux and looks back at Jirou who get angry because of it. Oh no, ang stupid talaga ni Linux! Why can't he just away me na lang instead? Bisita natin si Jirou.

"At least I can afford the foods I want," diretsahang sagot ni Jirou kaya nagtinginan sila ng masama Linux.

I sighed at Linux behaviour. Talagang sa bisita pa siya nakipag-away.

"Kaya ngang bilhin pero hindi naman binibili. Sayang pera mo sa mga steak na 'yan na hindi naman luto." Ngumisi si Linux kaya lalong nanakit ulo ko kay Linux. I glared at him but he didn't even bat his eyes on me.

"I think you didn't know what a medium rare, I guess you eat those burnt foods," she sarcastically said. Napaawang ang labi ko. "That's why you look like a burn person."

"Luxian, oh! Sabi niya niluluto mo raw puro sunog na pagkain! Bawiin mo na 'yung sopas na niluto mo sa babaeng kulay puti ang buhok! Matanda yarn?" Dumila pa si Linux kaya nagulat ako nang mapipi ang kutsarang hawak ni Jirou. So strong.

Wow, beautiful, kind and strong.

"I'm 25 years old, idiot!" she hissed. "You look older than me!"

"So, do I! I am 25 years old, old woman!" Linux hissed as well and I just shaked my head. I have to stop Linux from fighting the girl I like.

"Continue your foods before I both stop you from eating," I said with serious voice which stunned them both. In this house, I'm in charge of the kitchen and they are in the kitchen. Especially Linux! Sa hapagkainan pa nakikipag-away, pag nakuha ni Devyn 'yang behaviour na 'yan.

I quickly look at Devyn and sigh in relief when I see that she's smiling and giggling while Dionne is making a joke to her. Sinusubuan pa ni Dionne si Devyn ng sopas. Dionne is really kind and loving.

"I can't believe na may foreigner na kulay puti ang buhok na parang lola, nye nye," bulong ni Linux kaya pinukpok ko siya sa ng walang lamang plastic bottle sa ulo.

"The next time that I'm going to hit you will be this glass bottle," seryosong saad ko, kaya ngumuso si Linux at kumain muli. "You can eat everything in the pan."

Jirou looked at me flatly like there's no emotion to her beautiful face. "Thank you... this dish is so delicious."

I just gave her a smile and drink a cup of water. I'm satisfied that she likes it. I want to cook for her every time. She can't eat those steaks forever! She needs some foods and dishes that she hasn't eaten before.

For sure she'll like my food.
