Chapter 16

- Present -

A few days after I met Nico in an unexpected way and suddenly she's living in our house as if it's a hotel.

Pabalik balik siya, after a day aalis kaagad siya then babalik siya kaagad in the night. She looks more tired, pero kapag umuuwi si Nico lagi na itong may bitbit na mga papeles. Maraming papeles.

Pero 'yung papeles ay nakalagay pa sa bag na Y2k ang design. I wonder if it's alright in her law firm to wear something like that, because Attorneys wear something formal but she didn't. She have her own fashion style.

She's quiet sometimes but when she opens her mouth, you'll hear a whole curse machine. She's interesting, because I haven't met someone who curse that much.

She have anger issue for sure.

Napabuntong hininga ako at hinalo halo ang crab soup, it's break fast and I want something na seafood. Maybe our lunch will be seafood boil, I should go to palengke or grocery store. Mas mura nga lang sa palengke at makakapili ka talaga unlike sa grocery store.

Then sa dinner I will cook a chapsuey for vegetables. Warren told me to cook something healthy once a day, so it would be balance for everyone.

I sighed once again. After that live bumagsak ang ibang advertisements ko, pero may kumukuha pa rin sa akin but minimal, which I really liked. I really love freedom. Working at the cafe and cooking. I get to bond with Devyn more, I really love that. I want a balance life.

Speaking of Jirou, I tried acting that we are fine because Warren seems to notice something but just shrugged about it. Jirou never talked to me after that night but Jirou and Linux talked a lot.

I envy their relationship, they look so sweet. I feel awkward. Nahihirapan din akong kausapin si Linux, pero kapag kinakausap niya ako ay sumasagot ako. Hindi ko lang kayang tingnan at kausapin siya nang maayos ngayon, maybe if I healed.

"Buntong nang buntong ng hininga ay baka bigla kang mawalan nang hininga." Napaigtad ako at mabilis napatingin sa nagsalita. Mabilis kong pinatay ang kalan dahil do'n.

Nico is standing behind me, she looks so small. Tumaas ang kilay nito at tiningnan ako nito nang masama.

Nakakagulat naman siya.

She's wearing a black oversized t-shirt and a panjama. The shirt has a big star in the middle. She's not wearing any of her piercings today, no make up as well and she's in a bun. She looks cute and beautiful at the same time.

May lahi talaga siya.

"The fuck you are looking at and never answer? You're a weirdo," she exclaims and goes to the fridge. She gets the whole karton of milk and drinks on it!

Nabitawan ko tuloy 'yung sandok at mabilis kumuha ng baso. That's inappropriate to drink milk in the morning.

I walked towards to her which stunned her. I gently get the carton of milk in her hands and pours it in the glass. She just stared at me while I do all of that.

Devyn does this sometimes which is a bad habit. Warren told her it's bad.

"That's a bad habit," I says and she just stared at me, she's so confused. I gently put the glass in her hands and put the carton back into the fridge.

"Why a bad habit? Paubos na rin naman 'yan." She rolled her eyes. "Don't worry I can buy you a whole factory of milk in exchange for that."

I also rolled my eyes and put my hands in my waist. She's showing off her money to me, and I'm just correcting a bad habit.
