You're welcomeeeeeeOmega took in a deep breath as she exited the ship. She was older, yes, but it would still be different without the rest of the team. She smiled as she remembered how protective and hesitant Hunter had been about her leaving. She loved her brother, but he didn't have to be that protective.
She stepped out onto the grass, the wind blowing past her. She felt a bit nervous, but more excited as a few people looked her way. Her heart skipped a beat, this was the rebellion! The people who would help end the rule of the Empire! She walked through the small camp, waving at some of the people.
She paused as she saw a pair of people walk past her. One of them seemed familiar, but before she could turn to see who it was, she almost tripped over a droid. She quickly apologized, looking down at the droid, who was beeping and chirping angrily. Her head tilted, and she read the barely readable identification number. She was surprised when she read it.
“Chopper?” Omega raised an eyebrow, then started to laugh. “What are you doing here? Wait, if you're here does that mean-”
“Omega? Is that you?”
She paused. That voice who cut her off… it was so familiar, it sounded like someone she met a long time ago. Of course, the voice was older, but familiar nonetheless. Omega turned around, and a big grin spread across her face. She DID know them!
“Hera?!” The two friends hugged, blabbing on about what's happened since the last time they saw each other. There was a lot of stuff they had to catch up on.
Then, Omega noticed the man who had been staying to the side, Chopper complaining next to him.
“Who's that, Hera?” She grinned teasingly, her Twi’lek blushing the littlest bit, rolling her eyes.
“Omega, this is… Kanan. Kanan, Omega.” The man nodded a greeting, and grinned.
“I'm Hera's ‘friend.’” he used the word in air quotes, making Omega laugh and look at Hera teasingly.
“Oh shut up, idiot.” but her tone didn't bear any malice. She looked back at Omega, and looked thoughtful for a bit.
“Hey, you know, Kanan and I are starting a small Rebel group, if you want to join?” She suggested, giving her friend something to think about.
“Tempting, but… I think I need to do some solo missions for a while, just to try them out… but, I'll definitely join you some time later… I'll let you know when I decide to. But now, let's just catch up!” Hera agreed to this, much to Chopper and Kanan’s horror.
“But- Hera! You'll take forever!” Kanan jogged to catch up to the two friends, the droid behind him, agreeing.
Hera and Omega shrugged in unison, “if it didn't take a long time, that'd be concerning. C'mon!” The Twi’lek motioned Omega to follow her. They chatted a bit more.
“Oh. My. Stars, you were captured?!” Hera looked at her, not sure if she was making it up, or was serious.
Omega nodded, and told her about those months, possibly years, on Tantiss, Hera listening to every word.
Kanan was behind them, hands in his pockets, not looking happy about the idea of the two friends chatting all day long. Chopper tried to butt in on the conversations, but was failing miserably.
“You're wasting your battery, Chopper.” Kanan rolled his eyes and the droid agreed begrudgingly. He started to annoy Kanan about having sand stuck in his joints.
“Yeah, yeah, we'll get you cleaned up later.” He looked up as he saw Hera facing him. He smiled, his smile instantly dropping as a datapad with a list of food and supplies was handed to him.
“Could you go and buy these? I probably don't have time right now.” She gave him a small smile and he sighed and nodded.
“Yeah, yeah… can you bring Chopper with you?”
“Why can't he go with you?” Hera raised an eyebrow and Kanan had to hold in his annoyed sigh, but that didn't stop the disagreement in his voice, “Hera!”
“Kanan.” She put her hands on her hips and he sighed in defeat.
“Okay… fine… you two have fun catching up while I go shopping with a droid who has too much personality.”
Chopper laughed at Kanan, who glared at the droid. He looked back up, trying to disagree, but Hera and Omega had already started walking and were deep in conversation.
“Guess I'm stuck with you, good for nothing droid.”
“Womp womp.” Chopper drove away before Kanan could tear him into spare parts. Kanan gave up, and went to go buy the stuff on the list.
