Me and the team, plus Angel, were in Paige and Azzi’s dorm chilling and watching a movie until God’s blessing spoke.

“Aye, y’all going to the football game tomorrow?” Angel asked, looking around the room. Everybody was going except Caroline because she doesn’t like football games that much.

“Good, because I got a solo and a duo, and I want y’all to be there to see.” Angel was happy that most of us were going to be there to support her.

I would’ve gone just because she asked.

“Perioddd, don’t play with ha!” I heard Paige say in a sassy voice that caused everybody to laugh. “Paige, what the fuck, man,” Ines said. (You know I had to keep Ines 😋)

After everybody was done laughing, we decided to have a sleepover and watch a movie since it was getting late. Angel was sitting next to me with her head on my shoulder.

In the middle of the movie, I heard soft snoring in my ear. I turned to see Angel fast asleep. I looked around the room to see everyone else was asleep except me and Q.

Being the good friend I am, I picked her up and took her to Paige’s room to lay her on the bed. When I was about to leave, I felt a tug on my shirt.

“Stay with me.” I thought about it before nodding and getting into the bed with her. As soon as I laid down, she laid her head on my chest.

She looked so beautiful—God really did his big one with her.

Uconn Football Stadium

3rd pov

Kk and the rest of the team were at the football stadium, messing around and waiting for Angel to start the game off with her dance until the band started playing.

Angel walked onto the field, which made the team cheer, with Kk and Paige being the loudest. The band started playing, and Angel began to dance.

Kk was mesmerized by the dancing, and when they made eye contact, it was like Angel was a siren, Kk was the fisherman, and her dance was a way to lure her in.

Kamorea felt trapped but in a way she liked, but it all melted away when the band stopped and Angel walked off the field.

From the stands, Jana, Ice, and Q were the only ones who noticed Kk's lovesick stare at Angel, but they weren’t going to tell.

As the game went on, UConn was winning against MVSU with a score of 36-20. The girls in the stands were hyped, and as halftime came along, everybody got excited, but the most excited was Kk.

This time, a duo walked on the field, one being the girl whose stare could make anyone fall to their knees, the other being the older sister of Juju Watkins, Jai’Dah Watkins.

When the band started, the girls began their routine. This time there was no eye contact, just the basketball player giving the majorette captain her undivided attention.

By the end of the game, UConn won with a score of 102-76. Everybody was happy and ready to go home and sleep.

The basketball team was waiting for Angel to come to the parking lot. “Oh my god, how long does it take to put stuff in a game and come the fuck on,” Paige complained.

“For real, she’s taking longer than a grandma when she bumps into one of her friends,” Aubrey agreed.

After a few more minutes, Angel walked up to the group, smiling. “Heyyy y’all, the queen has arrived.” Paige frowned. “Who said you were a queen? Girl, you look like Bertram back from Jessie.”

Angel’s smile turned into an RBF in an instant. “Okay, you're done. That iPad is mine until I feel like giving it back. And Azzi, why did you post the picture?”

Azzi shrugged. “Because I can, and Ice told me to.” Angel gasped and snapped her head to Ice. “Why would you do that?” “Huh?” “Huh? Why would you do that?”

Paige interrupted them with a loud and dramatic sigh. “Guys, can we go now? I'm tired and ready to go to sleep.” The group agreed, and that's exactly what they did.
