“Welcome to season 2, episode 1 of The Kk Arnold Show! I’m with the super seniors of my team: Aubrey Griffin, and the one and only PAIGE BUECKERS! YAYYY!”
The duo looked at me and laughed. “So what do you guys expect from the basketball team this year?” I passed the mic to them, with Aubrey going first.
“Umm, I think this is gonna be a good season. I plan on signing out with good memories and helping the team win one more season before I go to the WNBA draft.”
I nodded in understanding, then passed the mic to Paige. “Well, I think the same, but I know this will be a good season because everyone on the team worked hard to be here. Plus, we have you Kk, Ice, and Azzi to take care of the team when Aubrey and I leave.”
“Okay, period girly pop. So, we are in the gym where our dance team is having practice, and Aubrey’s very own sister is the captain.” I started clapping my hands while jumping a little, getting excited to see my goddess in her natural state.
“You're getting a little too excited,” Paige laughed at me. I side-eyed her, then looked at the camera.
I stopped when I saw Angel making her way to us, smiling. “Heyyy, how are my favorite two basketball players?” She wrapped her arms around me and Paige’s shoulders.
“So, what brings y’all to my domain?” “Well, I wanted to interview you so the fans can know you better.” She nodded and goes to seat down in the bleachers.
Me and the other two followed her. “Okay, so Angel, what made you choose UCONN?” I put the mic between us. “Well, reason one is because y’all teams are worth dancing for. And reason two is because this is my sister’s last year of college, and I wanna spend it with her before she leaves me.”
“Aww, that’s cute or whatever, and that is true—UCONN has the best sports teams in the books. Okay, next question: If someone had to take majorette from you, what would you do?”
She thought about it before answering, “I guess I would do volleyball. I’m pretty good at it and I love it right after dance.” I was about to say something until Paige snatched the mic from me. “Who is your favorite player on the team?”
Angel laughed at the question, saying, “It’s between Azzi and Ice.” We frowned and looked at her.
Aubrey grabbed the mic from Paige. “Why them?” Angel looked at her like she was dumb. “Because they carry the same vibe as me. Also, they’re not loud all the time with attitude and then walk every time they're on live.”
I rolled my eyes and snatched the mic from Aubrey. “Okay, so that concludes this episode of The Kk Arnold Show. Slim, thick, caramel skin, 5’5”—this bitch a ten.” I smiled at the camera. “Okay, byye.”
