The next morning I woke up to the sounds of a stressed out Annabeth.

"What are you doing?" I asked, watching her pace in circles by her bed beside me.

"Get up!" she ordered once she saw that I was awake.
"Something bad is happening."

"What's wrong?" I asked, immediately concerned.

I'd just hoped a monster hadn't gotten into camp again.

"It's raining." she answered.

I gave her an annoyed look.

"Annabeth, it's summer. It rains all the time."

"Not here." she replied.
"The magic of the god's lets Chiron control the weather. I knew something was wrong."

She continued pacing and then whirled around to look at me with wide eyes.

"Do you know anything? Did that Percy boy tell you anything about this? I know it's his fault."

She came at me with her pointer finger out. I put my hands up in defense.

"Hold it." I said.
"I have no idea what you're talking about. The only thing Percy told me before you sent him away was that his mom got killed by that monster thing."

"Hm." she didn't seem too convinced.

"I'll have to go ask Chiron." she decided.

She turned around and walked straight out the cabin door, leaving me confused in my bed.

I hadn't seen Annabeth since her outburst from earlier that morning. I had to walk with my other half siblings who I hadn't gotten to know very well yet to lunch. I sat alone at my table and munched on my turkey sandwich.

I glanced over at the Hermes table expecting to see a squished Percy, but he was no where to be seen.

Ten minutes went by of lunch and Annabeth still hadn't arrived. No sign of Percy either. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see a curly headed boy.

"Hi." he said simply.

After looking at him for a couple of seconds, the horns on his head registered with me. I looked down and saw that he was pants-less and covered with animal fur.

A satyr, I remembered. I'd seen a few of them roaming around camp.

"Chiron needs to see you at the Big House." he said.
"I can walk you there."

I was a little nervous, wondering what I could've already done to get myself into trouble. I'd been on my best behavior since getting here.

The two of us walked together through the doors of the Big House. Inside, Chiron stood with Percy and Annabeth.

"Miss Prince, Mr. Underwood, please join us." Chiron boomed, gesturing for us to walk closer.

"You said me too?" Grover asked shyly from beside me.

"You heard me." Chiron said.

Grover gulped and the two of us listened.

"I've called you here for something very special, very rare" he started.

"It's very important that you take this seriously, our whole world depends on the success of you four."

"Four?" Annabeth spoke up.

"A quest is only supposed to involve three."

"Exceptions can be made to every rule." Chiron proclaimed.

Annabeth digressed.

"A quest? What's a quest?" I asked.

I hated how people just went around here using terminology like I should be perfectly familiar with it by now.
