Deku POV
Izuku was having the time of his life.
Azur and he had found a clearing large enough for Azur to "get scaley," as the green jaguar liked to call it.
The dragon was finally stretching his wings, each powerful beat sending gusts of wind through the trees.
Izuku matched his pace, soaring alongside his companion, feeling the rush of freedom and exhilaration that flying always brought him. They had lost track of how long they had been away, training and honing their skills in isolation.
But now, they were heading home, both wearing broad grins on their faces, eager to reunite with their friends and loved ones."Let me get out of sight before you go running to your boyfriend," Azur grumbled, wrinkling his nose at the thought of having to witness their reunion.
"Oh, just so you can go do it to Kai?" Izuku teased, glancing over at the dragon with a mischievous smile.
"I WILL NOT LOWER MYSELF TO THAT PUPPY'S LEVEL," Azur retorted, though the slight redness in his scales betrayed his blush.
"That sounds like something you have to repeat over and over," Izuku laughed. "Is it working?"
"No, it's not," the green dragon huffed, clearly irritated.
Izuku sighed, his expression softening. "I guess it's time for the talk, then."
Azur turned his large head to look at the small male flying beside him, curiosity and a bit of apprehension in his eyes.
"I'm scared.""Well, firstly, I don't know if you jaguars can get any..." Izuku paused, searching for the right word. "Diseases, I guess. Not that I think Kai has any."
"I'm confused," Azur admitted, his eyes narrowing slightly.
Izuku grinned. "Well, when you love someone very much, and they love you back," he began, looking over at his animal companion who seemed to be hanging onto every word,
"they can decide to further their relationship."Azur held Izuku's gaze, his massive green eyes filled with a mix of curiosity and dread.
"Just remember, you always need consent," Izuku added, his tone serious.
Azur roared, his voice echoing through the sky.
"ENOUGH, THAT IS..." The dragon retched, causing Izuku to burst into laughter, his body rolling through the sky with the force of it.Once Deku smoothed out his flying, he looked ahead, and the sight of the city came into view.
His entire body stiffened.
Azur, sensing the emotional shift in his human counterpart, followed the small male's gaze before his eyes widened in shock.
Izuku shot forward like a bullet, his wings pounding the sky, propelling him forward at even greater speeds. Azur was close behind, their bond allowing him to match Izuku's urgency. As they quickly closed in on the U.A. campus, they felt their stomachs drop.
Fire consumed buildings that hadn't already been destroyed, leaving scorched marks and rubble everywhere. The devastation was immense. That's when a wave of pure orange fire caught Izuku's eye. He turned, following the trajectory of the wave, his heart racing as he saw a blonde boy and a black wolf directly in its path.
Deku's body folded into a dive before his mind could catch up with the action.
"Remember to use your wings; your skin will burn if the fire touches it," Azur snapped as he followed Izuku into the dive. The wave of fire got closer and closer as they raced forward.
Deku hit the ground in a controlled, organized roll, snapping his wings out so the fire split around him, protecting the blonde and the wolf behind him.
The heat washed over him, intense and searing, but Izuku bit his lip, trying to ignore the pain.Azur landed behind the wolf, opening his mouth to reveal his long, white fangs, and roared.
The noise carried across the battlefield, cutting through the chaos and causing the fire to abruptly cease.
The roar was a powerful, primal sound, filled with the fury and strength of the dragon, and it demanded attention. The battlefield fell silent, all eyes turning towards the dragon and the mysterious green-haired boy.
The enemy forces hesitated, their advance halted by the sudden appearance of this formidable duo. Kat's mind raced, struggling to process what was happening.
The figure before him seemed familiar, but the details eluded him in the chaos of the moment. The green-haired boy glanced back at the blonder.
"Stay behind me," he said, his voice calm and commanding. Before the boy could respond, a deafening roar echoed across the battlefield once more.
The green dragon's roar seemed to pierce the very heavens, shaking the ground beneath their feet.
The enemy forces faltered further, fear evident in their eyes as they took in the sight of the powerful dragon."Deku?" Kat muttered when he finally found his voice.
Poor Azur........I hated that talk to and I didn't and still don't have a boyfriend ;-;
Waste of my time.
