Katsuki POV
Katsuki Bakugo stormed through the hallways of U.A. High School, his usual scowl deepening with every step.
It had been weeks since Izuku had left, accompanied by Azur. Katsuki clenched his fists, the absence of his green-haired boyfriend weighing heavily on his mind.
He couldn't deny the emptiness he felt without Izuku by his side.
"BakuBro!"
Katsuki sighed, not in the mood for company.
"Go away."
He kept walking, Kai striding beside him, the wolf's black fur shimmering in the late afternoon sun that streamed through the windows.
"You should talk to him," Kai chimed in, his voice sliding into Katsuki's mind.
Katsuki shot a glare at Kai but stopped, turning to the redhead behind him.
"What do you want, Shitty Hair?"
"When is MidoBro coming back?" Kirishima asked, picking up his spirit animal, Cliff, who looked at him with baby blue eyes.
"Whenever he is ready," Katsuki snapped, turning to leave.
Kirishima frowned but didn't back down, his usual cheerful demeanor replaced with concern.|
"Bakugo, we're all worried about him. But we're worried about you too. You've been different since he left."
Katsuki gritted his teeth, his anger simmering just beneath the surface.
"I don't need your pity," he growled. "I'll be fine. I always am."
Kai nudged Katsuki's leg with his nose, his eyes filled with understanding and support.
"Ignoring your feelings won't make them go away," Kai's voice echoed in Katsuki's mind.
Katsuki's glare softened slightly as he looked at his loyal companion.
"I know," he admitted quietly, more to Kai than to Kirishima.
Kirishima stepped closer, Cliff looking up at Katsuki with wide, curious eyes.
"We're your friends, Bakugo. We're here for you. You don't have to go through this alone."
For a moment, Katsuki's defenses wavered, the weight of his loneliness and worry threatening to break through. But he quickly shoved those feelings down, his pride not allowing him to show any weakness.
"I'll deal with it," he said gruffly. "Now leave me alone."
Kirishima sighed but nodded, knowing that pushing Bakugo any further would only make things worse. "Alright, but if you ever need to talk, you know where to find me."
Katsuki watched as Kirishima walked away, Cliff still in his arms.
He sighed and turned back down the hallway, his thoughts once again consumed by Izuku and the uncertainty of when he would return.
Kai's presence was a small comfort, the black wolf silently walking beside him, a constant reminder that even in his darkest moments, he wasn't truly alone.
As they reached the end of the hallway, Katsuki paused, looking out the window at the setting sun.
"Come back soon, Izuku," he whispered, his voice filled with a mixture of longing and determination.
"I need you."
He continued walking, his steps heavy with the burden of unspoken emotions.
The familiar sounds of U.A. High School felt distant, almost muted, as if the world around him was moving in slow motion. Every corner he turned reminded him of Izuku, of the times they had spent together, training, studying, and simply being there for each other.
Katsuki's mind drifted back to the day Izuku had left.
They had stood at the edge of the forest, Azur's piercing blue eyes reflecting the determination in Izuku's own.
"I have to do this, Kacchan," Izuku had said, his voice steady but filled with an underlying sadness. "I need to get stronger. For all of us."
Katsuki had wanted to argue, to tell him not to go, but he knew Izuku too well.
Once his mind was made up, there was no changing it.
Instead, he had pulled Izuku into a fierce hug, holding on as if he could somehow keep him from leaving.
"Just come back," he had whispered, his voice rough with emotion. "Don't make me come after you."
Izuku had laughed softly, the sound tinged with sorrow.
"I promise," he had said, pulling back just enough to look Katsuki in the eyes. "I'll come back to you."
That promise echoed in Katsuki's mind now, a constant reminder of the hope he clung to.
He reached the training grounds, where the other students were already hard at work, their spirit animals moving gracefully beside them.
He spotted Todoroki practicing with his spirit animal, Tanner, and felt a pang of jealousy.
Everyone else seemed to be moving forward, while he was stuck in a limbo of waiting.
"Bakugo!"
Katsuki turned to see Ura running towards him, her spirit animal, a playful Wabbit named Cotton, bounding alongside her.
"Hey," she said, slightly out of breath. "We missed you at lunch today."
"Not hungry," Katsuki muttered, turning away.
Ura exchanged a worried glance with Cotton before stepping closer.
"We're all worried about you, you know. It's not like you to skip meals."
"I said I'm fine," Katsuki snapped, his patience wearing thin.
"Are you?" Ura asked softly, her eyes full of concern.
Kai nudged his leg again, silently urging him to open up.
"I just... I miss him, okay?" Katsuki finally admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know how to handle it."
Ura placed a hand on his shoulder, her touch gentle and reassuring.
"It's okay to miss him, Bakugo. We all do. But you don't have to go through this alone. We're your friends."
Katsuki looked at her, seeing the sincerity in her eyes.
It was strange to think that once, not too long ago, he would have pushed everyone away.
But now, with Izuku gone, he realized just how much he needed the support of his friends.
"Thanks," he said gruffly, not quite able to meet her gaze.
Ura smiled, giving his shoulder a comforting squeeze before stepping back.
"Anytime. And remember, we're all here for you."
Katsuki nodded, watching as she rejoined the others.
He felt a little lighter, the weight on his shoulders not quite as heavy. Maybe, just maybe, he could get through this with their help.
He turned to Kai, who was watching him with those knowing eyes.
"Guess I need to stop being such a hardass, huh?" he said, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"That would be a start," Kai replied, his voice filled with gentle amusement.
As the sun dipped lower in the sky, casting long shadows across the training grounds, Katsuki took a deep breath. He wasn't sure what the future held, but he knew he had to keep moving forward.
For himself, for Izuku, and for the friends who stood by his side.
With renewed determination, he joined the others, throwing himself into the training with a ferocity that was both familiar and new.
Each punch, each kick, each explosion of power was a step towards finding his own strength, a way to cope with the aching emptiness inside him.
And as the stars began to appear in the twilight sky, Katsuki found a small measure of peace.
Izuku would come back soon.
He had to believe that.
And until then, he would keep fighting, keep pushing forward, and keep holding onto the hope that one day soon, he could hold him in his arms once more.
For now, that was enough.
I JUST REALISED I HAVE CALLED KAT KATSUKI THE WHOLE TIME NOT KAT!!!!!!
Oh well, im to lazy to change it.
