(Y/N)'s knuckled were starting to turn white from how hard she was gripping her sword, and she watched as the demon took a step forward. Its eyes seemingly stared into her soul as he spoke.

"Oh, no need to look so scared. I'll make your death quick" the demon taunted her. Taking in a deep breath, (Y/N) did her best to calm her nerves. She composed herself to the best of her ability before speaking.

"You're the one who's going to die tonight" she spoke with a determined look on her face. She had to win this fight, she had to get back to Kyojuro, she needed to be honest with him about her feelings.

"Oh?" The Demon hid half of his face behind one of his fans. His eyes still pearing into the young woman's soul. (Y/N) was still for a moment, but then, a moment later, she ran forward.

"Storm breathing, second form: lightning speed" in an instant, (Y/N) was moving so fast that anyone who would have been watching wouldn't be able to see her. She appeared in the air in front of the upper moon and began to swing her blade toward his neck. She knew she had to end this fight quickly, otherwise she may not make it out alive. She wouldn't let that happen however, she had people who cared about her. People who were waiting for her to return safely.

"How brave" the demon commented, not worried at all. His calm attitude unnerved (Y/N). Suddenly, the demon disappeared from his spot. The Demon Slayer landed on the ground, quickly scanning the area as she tried to spot the demon. Before she had time to react, (Y/N) let out a cry of pain as her arm was sliced open by one of the demon's fan. Blood began dripping down her arm as she turned to see the upper moon standing there, blood dripping off of his weapon.

"You're a Hashira, aren't you?" The Demon asked, laughing to himself. He seemed to enjoy the young woman's pain. Suddenly, the air was filled with some sort of icy powder. As soon as she took a breath, she began to cough, almost dropping her sword. She managed to keep a grip on her blade, but it was becoming hard to breath.

"Oh, you poor thing, can't breath" the demon taunted, ignoring the pain she was in, (Y/N) once again rushed forward. It felt as if her body was moving on pure instinct.

"Storm breathing, second form: lightning speed." Once again, the woman moved at an incredible speed toward the demon, she swung her sword up once more, managing to cut off one of his arms. Landing on the ground, she watched as the demon looked down at his missing arm, seemingly amused.

"Oh, that was quite impressive" he spoke, his arm instantly regenerating. He picked up his discarded weapon, unfazed by the young woman's attack. Before the demon slayer had a chance to attack again, the demon disappeared once again before reappearing right in front to her. (Y/N) Had no time to react as the demon used one of his fans to slice down her midsection, crying out in pain, (Y/N) fell to the ground. Tears began to well up in her eyes as she laid there, trying to gather her strength. Blood poured from her wound as the demon stood over her. Her vision began to turn blurry as excruciating pain once again hit her. She cried out in pain as she looked down, one of her legs was missing. Her heart was racing, she was now crying as her vision began to go black. This was it, (Y/N) was sure she was going to die.
