Chapter 7
-Miracle Astor-
I honestly don't know what came over me.
I don't know what possessed me to break my word to my brother that I ended up going to their soccer game anyway. I'm surely going to regret this later, especially when Corbin or any of his friends see me. But I'm already here standing at the side of the bleachers while everyone is preparing for the game. There are a lot of people as expected and many more are still doing over, I'm really just hoping and praying that no one will see me here amongst this crowd.
Why in the world did I say yes to him?
I'm currently facepalming myself with my stupid decision while making sure I'm well mixed with this group of girls who are from another school. Gabriel can find me himself, after all he's the one who insisted and persuaded me in the first place. If he can't find me for the next ten minutes then I'm going home.
"Miracle."
Sighs. Right on time, I guess.
There goes that lopsided smile of his again and that familiar twinkle in that hazel brown eyes of his. He's still wearing his black hoodie and jeans.
"Hi, Gabriel." I softly greeted him as I forced out a smile on my face.
"You look beautiful as usual." He winks and chuckles.
My eyebrows furrowed as I looked down at my outfit which is just a plain pink blouse that I tucked in my knee length white skirt. And I only wore my usual light make-up, while I put my hair in a messy bun. I'm in no way beautiful. A mistake like me can never be considered beautiful.
"And you should've just really let me pick you up from your house." He tsked.
"It's fine, Gabriel. Anyway you finally saw me, so can I leave now, please?"
I'm dying to go home before my brother sees me.
"How is my number one fan going to be able to support me if she leaves before the game could even begin?" He raised an eyebrow and smirked making me shake my head in disbelief.
This guy is honestly just unbelievable. He's just so persistent even no matter how much I turn him down and his friendship. He just keeps coming back.
"I really don't think you need to worry about being left with no fans, there's like hundreds of girls in our school who literally formed a fan club in your name since the day you transferred." I chuckled.
This is true by the way. And since the first day Gabriel and I met, and him continuing to follow me everywhere around school, I've been getting an even more number of harsh glares and rude comments wherever I go from those girls that are probably members of Gabriel's fan club. I'm not surprised if they also formed an anti-Mira club.
"They're not you though. I don't care about them, I only care about you, Miracle."
My eyes widened slightly at his words. But I quickly shook my head.
"I already told you my brother will get mad when he finds out I sneaked away from home to go here---
He quickly interrupted me.
"Why will Corbin get mad? Isn't he supposed to be thrilled that his sister is here to watch and support him too?" Gabriel was definitely confused which is understandable, but I'm a way he also doesn't understand my predicament because he doesn't know me.
I shook my head again and replied, "I just agreed to come here and meet you for a while so that you can see me and I can wish you good luck before your game as promised."
