~*Purgatory.*~

It had been a smooth three weeks of peace, with having had loads of work out of the way. Except, the Mayor making a statement, soon after Kyouki eradicated the Samedi, that leaned toward the Saints' destruction of property, also ridding the city of the Samedi was a mediocre thank you at best.
Kyouki had gone to the Compound that was the Samedi and brazenly tore through the place looking for anything of note. With Javiar and Lee at her side, she seized and sold practically everything the following week.
With the following week, she had gone to city hall and sat with the Mayor and explained just what happened. Of course, the Mayor needed someone to pin, with the General dead. It would be impossible to make him pay for the damages. Knowing that the property damages that were not the fault of Kyouki or the Saints, she begrudgingly came to a medium.

Now Ky sat with pursed her lips as she was making notations of how much she counted out, before going back to singing as she was counting a new stack of bills.

Gat and Aisha came in sometime that morning, Ky half acknowledged them as she was busy counting, and paperwork for the duration of said morning. A new shipment of bullets, courtesy of Nick, also came that day.

Aisha was sitting on the black leather sofa in the office, as Ky was on the phone, taping away at the computer, and note taking.
Aisha listened to her sing between Japanese and English as each song changed when she wasn't on the phone. When Ky finished, she put a note and money in a large duffle bag.

"What's that for?" Aisha asked, flipping through a magazine.

Grabbing the bag, she invited Aisha to come with her to the bank. "Mall donation." Making a face that spoke louder than the two words she uttered.

Aisha nodded, and both women left to drop off the money. "We should do some songs together."

"Oooh!" Kyouki's expression didn't match the same way her voice sounded. Aisha thought it thoroughly amusing.

Pierce watched from the bar as the women left. "Yo, she really puttin' that money up for shit she ain't do?"

As foul as it was, Ramon agreed, that was fucked by how they got the blame. "If anything, the 'sizable donation' she put to repair will help keep the Mayor off our backs."

"But ain't she pulling from the races?" Pierce was calculating the damages. He saw that asinine sum scrawled in red marker on her desk.

"No, somehow she liquidated The General's shit and ain't much we can do. It's her choice." Ramon and Gat talked about it before with Ky. All she could do was agree. They needed to be left alone and get the streets clean again. Pierce and Shaundi found out just a few days ago, just after the first count-out.

The dip in the funds and paying the crew their dues it was causing the Boss to keep to herself, mostly money counting every payment from the hustle of Loa and from the bi-weekly income from the strip club, including the properties she relived the Samedi of and was cleaning up. That still was enough to make the difference between. Who doesn't love money? It was for the city's benefit, if anything, and she really wasn't using her funds. Ky had planned to not keep the money in the safe in Purgatory as it was, but having to pay the price of someone else's brilliant idea was what really put her in a sour mood.

With Brian gone, they will be down a racer, also less money. When Bobby asked to race, she took that into account. If they came in third, it would be something. With everything that had happened with the Samedi, Ky needed to be on top of sales, money for supplies, and supplies for the Saints.

They still needed a second driver. Ky opted out as the circuit knew her and the comeback bets wouldn't put a notch into getting any of that money back.

Now as a distraction, Kyouki took to practice races with her cousin to catch him up to speed, but her actual racing wouldn't happen.
