~*Elysian Aidoneus Rest.*~

Well away from the city, the resort that Kyouki chose was like a city itself. When the trio arrived days ago, it was for one purpose: rest and relaxation. If you consider the lives of Kyouki, Johnny, Aisha, or any of the Saints normal.

"The explosion of an acetylene tank in the quiet hours of what would have been a welcomed Saturday morning at Racer Edge Custom Auto Repair in Sommerset, according to Stilwater Fire Department officials. Debris hurt one worker and a civilian from the blaze. One firefighter was taken to the hospital, to be treated for minor injuries. Nearby residents in the adjacent apartment reported several times to local authorities of foul smoke and strong chemical odors. Just hours before they ignited. Stilwater Fire Department investigators are working to determine the exact cause of the explosion. This is Jane Valderamma Channel 6 News. Back to you, Jack."

"Thank you, Jane. Wow, that is terrifying, much like the night of..."

Ky heard the news report on the radio. She at first thought she heard wrong. Just waking up, looking at the alarm. It was 7 am; her phone vibrated on the bedside night table.

"Yeah? What happen?" she whispered. Gat and Aisha were still asleep. "What?" Harsher than the last. "Are they hurt? Give me two hours. Don't argue with me." Ky slipped from the bed as she hung up. Heading to the bathroom. The door opened. "Get out." Ky said quietly.

Gat politely turned his back. "You heading back?"

"Yeah. You get a text?"

Gat grunted.

"I'll be back this evening after I find out more." The toilet flushed.

"I should come with you."

"Nope." Ky excuses herself. After washing her hands and brushing her teeth. Ever so quiet she rummaged through her luggage. A pair of jeans and a t-shirt, her sneakers, wallet, and keys. She was out of the door.

Back in familiar territory, she drove by the garage first. The bays were wrecked, blackened by the fire. Rubble from the explosion was minor, but from where she could see it looked salvageable. Ky called Ramon and asked him which hospital he was in. She headed there. Pulling to the parking lot, several Saints greeted her standing guard. Heading in, she stopped at the front desk. "Mendoza, Carlos?" Having the floor and room number, she went to head up.

Ramon was just walking out of the nearby elevator. "Ro. How are they?" Hugging the tall man.

"The good thing neither were in the bays. He said he and her went to pick up his sketchbooks and there was the explosion."

"Ren is aight?"

"Not really. She got a busted arm and some cuts. She was unconscious when the medics arrived, so they been waiting to do a CAT scan."

Ky sucked her teeth and called her young friend's mother. "Hey, did you hear the news? Xi was caught up in it. Aunty, Aunty.... I know..." Calming the distraught woman down, she let her know she will make it right and will come by when she is done, but will call as soon as she has more information.

Heading up, Ramon led Ky to the floor where Carlos sat next to Ren's bedside. They were chuckling. Ky breathed a sigh of relief, pulling Ramon aside. "I think I made a mistake."

"What you mean?"

"Having Carlos be one of the main. Today it may have been an accident. I'll need to hear it from the investigation first." Ky sighed, tugging her ponytail.
