━━━━━━Winter in Canada was often just an endless chore.
The snow-capped everything was all your eyes could see, accompanied by the freezing temperatures that you could seemingly never get used to, it was usually just a burden on your day to day life.
Shoveling was a bottomless pit of work, and the constant snow that always seemed to get in the way of your plans had been apart of your life for as long as you can remember.
The responsibility ended up getting dumped on you anyway. You were the middle child in your family, with both a younger and older brother and as most memes and jokes go, the middle child is practically invisible and forgettable. While that may be true for some, it was the complete opposite for you.
Your elder brother was a soon-to-be Harvard graduate the following Spring, and your middle school little brother was a straight-A, honor-roll student, and captain of the football team.
So that meant you had to be gifted too.
