A dance journey

Bye Bye Baby

We walked into the studio to no Abby.

Everyone was wondering where Abby was.

And then we watched her walk into the room.

"Hey, girls. Ok. This is going to be a rough week for me. Broadway Baby passed away. She was lethargic and I knew something was wrong. But I just thought that she had eaten something that didn't agree with her and she was just kind of down and out. But it ended up being kidney failure. I mean, I know she's 16, but she's your kid. It's like your kid."Abby said while crying

"I mean, it's hard," Christi told Abby trying to be consoling.

"I'm here. We need to get ready. We are going to St. Louis to Dance Expressions. It's a huge competition. On the bottom, we have Paige. Paige, the reason you're on the bottom is the duet. We, all of us in this room, need to be confident in you, and in your performance. Next on the pyramid is Brooke. Brooke, for you to get in the top five was good. For you not to win was bad. And next, Mackenzie. I thought for you to be doing the same choreography as a 14-year-old was great. Next, I have Claire." Abby said

But when Abby pulled off the white layer, it revealed my picture with the suspended written on it.

I looked at my mother in confusion.

"Claire, you did great. To go from sixth to third. But it's not good enough, for you, me, and your mother. The crying you did because I replaced you in the duet, is not acceptable. Something is on your mind because you are not focused. So you are suspended indefinitely."Abby said

I bit my lip to try to stop from crying. But the tears came out anyway.

Maddie hugged me first, then Kendall. And soon all the girls were hugging me. Even Cassandra and Cameron.

Abby motioned me in for a hug. So I ran up and hugged her.

"I can win I promise. I can do better." I said through my tears

"I know. But I need you in class and to work harder. So when I ask you to come back. You can beat Jillian right on out the door."Abby said

When we both got out of the hug, I turned to my mother. She motioned her hand telling me to hurry on out the door.

While I was walking out, Abby took my picture off the wall and put it on the floor before congratulating Jillian for being a team member.

"Congratulations Jillian, you've earned your spot on the team."

I walked fully out.

Claire interview:(while crying)

"I love the girls and I love Abby. I hope that she asks me back soon. I'm just so upset that I disappointed her. I can do better."

CAMERON POV

I watched as my sister walked out of the studio into the den.

"Moving on, Kendall. Kendall, I think you're good at evil. I thought you looked really good in the costume and I thought you went out there and you sold it. And next, I have Nia. Nia, you're here because, again, your facial expressions, you told the story. Next Cassandra. I loved you in the duet. It won, you looked great. And you held your one against a 10-year-old. One crazy good 10-year-old. Then I have our new team member Jillian."Abby said

All the moms clapped for Jillian except Melissa and Jill.
