The Aselrod family of the West.
A letter arrived in a luxurious envelope in that peaceful place.
The sender was the Astrophel family.
Dante opened the envelope with a letter knife, which had a gold pattern engraved on the cross-section, and read the contents seriously, then chuckled when he saw the phrase written on the last line.
[P.S. – Irene misses you.]
"My uncle wants to see me, so of course I have to go see him."
It was a voice full of joy.
Dante got up, kicking the chair away. He looked ready to leave at any moment.
Aide Johnes looked at Dante with eyes that seemed to be crying, which did not match his large body.
If Dante leaves like this, I will have no choice but to take charge of things on my own.
Yones opened his mouth, hoping that he was wrong.
"......You're not planning on going south right now, are you?"
"That's right."
"Then..., what about this?"
Yones pointed to a large pile of documents, many of which were important and required Dante's permission.
"Trust me, Yones."
Dante smiled brightly and answered shamelessly.
Yones, feeling herself becoming confused, cried out.
"Don't trust me. Don't trust me at all!"
As Yones stood up and banged his fist on the desk, the piled up papers shook and fell down.
It was quite a loud noise, as everything used by the Iselrod family was made to fit their large size as bear people.
When Yones saw the documents scattered on the floor, his eyes went dark.
Right now, only the documents have been destroyed, but if Dante leaves now, he will be buried under the pile of documents.
Yones desperately tried to dissuade him.
"Since when did you say you had a nephew? You're an only child!"
"Uncle and nephew aren't just related by blood."
"Then you and Kaid are brothers too, why?!"
"Don't say such horrible things."
"Dante!"
Dante began to burn the letter, ignoring the voice calling him desperately.
Yones asked in a puzzled tone.
"Why are you burning it? You don't normally do that."
"Because it had to be done."
"......Is there something going on with the Astropel family?"
A look of concern appeared on Yones' face.
It seemed as if the letter was caught in flames from the front, and the letter was sucked in and burned so cleanly that it was unrecognizable.
Instead of answering Johnes' question, Dante said something else.
"More than that, where was the cold poison herb stored?"
"Why are you looking for poisonous plants that are classified as being handled with care?"
"To take it as a gift."
