"Is this how I should do it?"

"Open your eyes wider, or I'll crash straight into the ground."

Currently, I am taking flying lessons from Asher in the forest.

I thought I would practice in person, but Asher first showed me how to flap my wings in human form.

"It's important to be able to ride the wind well. No matter how many wings you have, if you can't read the air currents, you'll lose your balance."

"How do you read the air currents?"

Asher looked embarrassed.

It was a look in his eyes that said he had never thought of or read something like that before.

"It's hard to explain in words. It's something you usually learn naturally."

"Then I can learn it like that too."

"Actually, Miss Irene, it feels a little late. Timing is important for everything......."

Asher trailed off. I could tell what he was saying without even having to hear it.

Timing is important, but I feel like I missed that opportunity.

"......Surely that means I'll never be able to fly again?"

"Well, I guess I'll have to try it to find out."

But that won't work? I felt worried.

I kind of expected that I would be late in learning how to fly.

But I think I would feel very bad if I couldn't fly.

As I looked up at Asher anxiously, he smiled faintly.

"The most important ability for a bird is to fly, so it can't be done without it."

"yes?"

"Yes. Since it's late, you can learn it all at once."

......Huh? I think I heard something wrong just now.

I glanced at Asher.

He had a calm expression on his face, as if he didn't know what I was talking about.

"I thought it would be a hassle, but now that I actually teach, it feels strange. It also feels like I'm teaching a young child in my clan."

"That's half true."

"Well, technically speaking, that's half true. This reminds me of when I first learned to fly."

Asher smiled faintly, perhaps recalling his childhood.

I stared at him, inwardly surprised.

I thought you were always blunt, but you sometimes laugh when you reminisce about your childhood.

As if he sensed my gaze, Asher covered his mouth and coughed in vain.

"Anyway, when I first learned how to fly, I was both excited and scared."

"Are you scared, Aserdo?"

"Everyone is afraid at first."

So it's no wonder I'm anxious and scared about my first flight?

It's not just me, Asher was like this too.

I felt relieved by his words. I sighed, clearing my throat.

"What should I do?"

As he asked with a determined expression, the corners of Asher's mouth rose gently.
