I didn't expect this to happen.

I stared persistently at the trinket box on the table.

I never thought this would come back to my room again.

"...What is this?"

I lay face down on the bed and buried my face in the cushion.

After hearing Sage's confession yesterday, I ran back to my room with the jewelry box in my arms.

Bringing it back doesn't undo what happened.

"Miss, you ate in your room today and didn't go out. What's wrong?"

"No, nothing like that. I just want to stay in my room today."

If you happen to run into Sage while wandering around, you'll be in big trouble.

Besides, I had no energy because I had not slept well the night before. Hestia got up from her seat after checking my physical condition.

"Yes, then take a rest. Oh, and the lord has sent a letter to you, young lady."

"Dad?"

I raised my head from where I was buried in the cushion. It was the first letter I had received since coming to the North.

I told you I would go back to the South and pretend not to know, so you're only replying now.

"This is too much. Why are you only sending it to me now? Where is the letter?"

"I got it for you. Here it is."

It was a letter with a familiar family crest engraved on it. When I opened the envelope, I saw a letter written in elegant handwriting inside.

"And there are letters from the young masters. I will put them on the bookshelf."

"Yes, thank you, Hestia."

Hestia left the room.

I decided to lie in bed and read Kaid's letter first.

The letter was written over two pages.

[P.S. Judging from the threats, you seem to be fine. Congratulations on becoming an adult, Irene.]

It was such a cheesy start from the first sentence.

His tone of speech was so vivid in the writing that I felt as if I could hear his voice. I burst out laughing at that.

[I thought you could get over it, but when you come back, you'll hear the whole story of why you became an adult, so prepare in advance.]

... ... If you tell me to prepare in advance, I guess you mean that I can make up my own story?

I can never tell you that Sage has been blowing pheromones into me all night.

But if Kaid doesn't know, does that mean Hestia hasn't told him what happened yet?

"Hmm, I'll have to ask Hestia about this."

That way, I can surround it appropriately.

But that thought had to be corrected in the very next line.

[Don't even dream of trying to surround yourself with it.]

I decided to ignore it and just ignore it with blurry eyes. You see right through my heart so well.

[I heard from Set and Arban that you are doing well in the North, and they are very worried.]

"......hmm?"
