"You called, Dad."

When I entered the living room, Kaid wasn't the only one there.

Helena, who was drinking her tea, smiled and greeted me. Next to her, Ian nodded. And.

"Sit here, Irene."

The set pointed to an empty seat, the one immediately to Kaid's left.

I sat down in a daze, but my eyes rolled around at the unexpected combination.

Ian looked at me closely and asked.

"Did you lose sleep?"

"Yes No."

"The lies are all obvious. Looking at this, it seems like it was a mistake to fool the elders."

"......ha ha ha."

I wiped my face for no reason.

It looks like you haven't slept well.

It made sense, since I fell asleep almost before morning. I glanced around and made eye contact with Kaid.

"I guess something happened with that guy yesterday."

That was the right answer. Kaid's expression distorted at the flustered reaction. Everyone's eyes turned to him at once as if they were wondering what had happened.

I can't believe I got asked this question as soon as I got here.

As it took a long time to answer, Ian suddenly asked.

"Should we get married?"

"Phew, kuluck!"

I ended up spitting out the words in the surprise attack that came right as I was about to drink my tea.

"You did something like that in my own house. You're crazy. You were going crazy, wanting to die."

"Let's take care of the urgent matter first and then bury it."

Helena stepped in to mediate. Set nodded to her words.

"Yes, that would be good. The elders' meeting will be held tomorrow."

The situation was resolved with the set agreeing.

I took a deep breath and straightened my posture. Then I glanced at Set and Arban sitting next to me.

I don't know about other people, but why did these two people call?

Kaid read my expression and gave me a brief explanation.

"You don't have to be surprised, since both of you know it."

"How long have you known?"

"He came and asked me after dinner last night."

"......Oh, I see."

Well, it would have been better to let them know in advance rather than having them find out the truth through rumors.

In front of Kaid was a request for an opening ceremony with the seal of the elders on it.

I could tell what the agenda was without even having to check it.

"Irene, there are rumors going around among the clan about you. You don't need to hear the details, right?"

"Yes. I know."

"There are many who consider it a far-fetched story... but it seems that even the elders are too concerned to just ignore it."

And that's true.
