Not truly caring for the boring middle ground of looking for Jasper's body, given one of the main reasons she'd joined the search part, apart from being with her latest canvas, was to hopefully engage in some type of blood-rushing fight.
That being said if not for the growing pungent scent of lingering blood, that grew stronger the closer they made it to what she was hoping was Jasper's body and any grounder guarding it.
"It's called cutting sign," Wells spoke partly agitated, growing more and more tired of the constant pessimistic words being thrown around by Murphy and Bellamy. "fourth-year earth skills, he's good."
With that he quietly turned back in order to watch Finn do his thing, although hearing the name of one of their classes back on the ark, Verena couldn't help the chuckle that brewed on her lips.
"You know they pulled me from that class," Verena naturally spoke up with the chuckle still resting on her words, a ditzy look on her face as she looked off into the distance a happy smile on her face. "cutting sign, cutting students, it just was to similar for me not to mixing them up."
As she finished speaking, the young sloan couldn't help but mentally reminisce on the few times she was able to slip and sneak a cut on the body of her fellow students, a large part of why most of the people in Skybox held little regard for her and her malicious habits.
"And that's why you weren't aloud schooling for six months." Wells spoke with a small shake of his head, his usual manner of being disappointed in Verena's inability to hold off on harming others.
Although his tone of words, only brought out a longer and louder slew of laughter to leave the lips of the insane girl.
"Best six months of my life." She announced happily, almost in a dreamy way as she twirled where she stood, not noticing the way Bellamy's eyes stayed on her despite his position a few steps to the right of Wells.
The dark-skin teen not wanting the pair to be too close together giving Verena's fondness of the taller man, and Bellamy's inability to show fear toward her rather than an adoring respect.
However still stooped down among-st the foliage and plants, Finn couldn't help but sigh as his concentration was broken, the spacewalker attempting to use all his senses in order to try and track Jasper down, which was hard enough without all the talking.
"You two want to keep it down or should I paint a target on your backs?" Finn spoke up a bit harshly as he stood from his crouched position, beginning to trek forwards with a resolute Clarke at his heels.
The young griffin seemingly entranced by every word that left the collin boy's mouth, something Verena couldn't very well understanding giving the boy's already tale-tale signs of being a phony and a coward.
However noticing the pair's constant romantic tension, Bellamy couldn't help but through a manipulative whisper toward Wells.
"See," He spoke close to the teen's ear, keeping his eyes on Clarke as he smirked and hopefully furthered his plan to bring a different side out of the son of Jaha. "you're invisible."
With that he stepped back, allowing Wells to see what was right in front of him, that being said his lowered voice did nothing to lessen Verena's ability to hear it.
Especially as she noticed the two of them, along with Murphy not following along for a moment, although as she got a full ear of what Bellamy was saying.
The less than mentally stable young woman bit her tongue instead of speaking up in defense of her best friend for one of the few times they'd been down on the ground, hoping someone else could get him out of his odd fantasy of being with Clarke.
Especially since the teen seemed to want nothing to do with him, granted because she believed he'd gotten her father floated, but to believe a lie so easy to pick apart was a bit more than usual for Clarke.
Although before Verena could really get lost in her undisclosed hate for the blonde teen, the sound of a distant groan seemed to catch her ears along with the rest of the group given how loud and hoarse it sounded.
"What the hell was that?" Murphy asked loudly as he took a glance around them, his actions bringing a larger excited smile to Verena's face as she was sure she would be getting what she finally wanted.
An open battle with whatever was still surviving on The Earth, that whatever being a grounder hopefully.
"I smell blood." She couldn't help but finally announce as she took a step forwards toward a slew of bushes, the smell of blood growing louder and pervasive to her nose.
The smile on her face obviously more cheerful and determined rather than fearful, which was the only emotion three out of four of the rest of them where feeling.
The only one other than Verena to feel any other emotion was Bellamy, whom although had a small amount of fear coursing through his body, couldn't help but be pierced by the excitement was flowing off of Verena.
For a second causing him to forget just what was causing the fear within the rest of their search party as she remained fully in his eye sights, causing him to notice the back and forth release and re-sheathing of her overly sharpened nails into her nail-beds.
"Now would be a good time to take out that gun." Clarke couldn't help but request as she threw a side glance over toward Bellamy, her eyebrows furrowing as she found him half-smiling at Verena instead of preparing himself like the rest of them.
Although her words not only caused Bellamy to softly slip the gun from his waistband with a roll of his eyes, but also bring the immersive eyes of Verena back over toward her in a glance.
"Oh now she wants the gun." The young sloan spoke almost teasingly as she threw a glance at Clarke then turned back forwards, having no problem mocking the girl after she'd requested him to put it up near minutes ago.
And subsequently, before any member of their little crusade could speak again the sound of pained groaning once again came out of no where, this time sending the group into a near full sprint as they chased after it.
Knowing there were very few things out in the woods that would make such distressing sounds like that.
