The hallway fell into a tense silence as Sunoo's voice echoed down the corridor. Everyone turned to look, their curiosity piqued by the commotion.

"Aish, what did you do this time, Niki?" Jay asked, his voice a mix of annoyance and concern.

"Idk, Sunoo's probably just being a baby again," Niki responded, trying to sound nonchalant.Sunoo stormed over to the duo, his face flushed with frustration. He grabbed Niki by the ear, pulling him down to his height.

"Ow, fuck—" Niki winced, trying to pull away.

"Where's. My. Stuff?" Sunoo demanded, his voice low and seething."I don't know what you're talking about, shortie," Niki retorted, though his voice betrayed a hint of nervousness.

Sunoo yanked Niki's ear even harder, causing him to wince in pain. "My backpack. Where did you put it, you little shit?"

Niki's face contorted with discomfort. "I don't know what you mean."

Sunoo continued to pull on Niki's ear until he could no longer take the pain. "Ow, ow, ow, fine! It's on the roof!"

Sunoo released Niki's ear with a final, forceful tug and stormed off toward the roof. Niki rubbed his ear, glaring after him.

"Why is he so aggressive?" Niki muttered, still wincing.

"Uh, I don't know, maybe because you hid his stuff," Heeseung said with a smirk, joining the conversation.

"Woah, thanks for this life-changing information, Hee," Niki responded sarcastically, his irritation evident.

"Of course. Now let's go to class. Come on, Hoon," Heeseung said, ushering Sunghoon along with him.

Niki, Jay, Sunghoon, and Heeseung all walked to their first class of the day—Math. Niki's mood didn't improve as he sat down, realizing he had to sit next to Sunoo.

"Hyung, what if I skip?" Niki whispered to Heeseung.

"Why? Because you pissed off your boyfriend?" Heeseung teased, his smirk widening.

"Ew, hell no, I would never date that shortie. But yes, I don't want to see the devil spawn after he tried killing me."

"You deserved it," Heeseung said nonchalantly, dragging Niki into the classroom.

Niki slumped into his seat with a heavy sigh. He hated Math for two reasons: he struggled with the subject and had to endure Sunoo sitting next to him.

**Flashback**

Sunoo had just put his bag in his locker when his friends started dragging him away, preventing him from locking it. That's when Niki, in a moment of mischief, grabbed Sunoo's bag and hid it on the roof.

"NISHIMURA!" Sunoo had shouted in frustration as he realized what had happened.

**Present**

In Math class, Suno tried to ignore Niki as best he could. He saw Niki's irritating smirk from the corner of his eye, which only made him more agitated. Determined to make a point, Sunoo shifted his foot and accidentally-on-purpose stomped on Niki's foot.

"OW, WHAT THE FU—" Niki yelped, his voice filled with surprise and pain.

"Whoops," Sunoo said, forcing a sweet smile before turning back to his work. "Guess my aim was off."

Niki glared at him but said nothing, focusing instead on the lesson. Niki's irritation was only furthered by Sunoo's smirk, which seemed to say that he was enjoying the entire exchange. Niki's mood remained sour throughout the class, and he could barely wait for the period to end. As the bell rang, signaling the end of the lesson, Niki packed his things quickly, eager to escape the room.
