Days turned into weeks, in shades of awkward silences and stolen glances. Ayush went through the motions of his routine – studies, cricket practice, hanging out with the group – but a hollowness lingered within him.

The vibrant friendship with Kiara, once a source of joy and support, felt faded and ragged. He missed their easy company, the way they could simply exist in comfortable silence, their thoughts weaving together without needing words.

One afternoon, under the familiar shade of the banyan tree, a gentle breeze rustled the leaves, whispering secrets in their wake. Ayush found himself stealing a glance at Kiara.

Today, her eyes held a flicker of sadness, a mirrored reflection of the emotions churning within him. A wave of longing washed over him, a yearning to bridge the gap that had formed between them.

Suddenly, Sanya cleared her throat. "Guys," she began, her voice laced with concern, "we miss the old days. Don't you?"

Her words hung heavy in the air, a sentiment echoed by nods and thoughtful expressions.

Ansh spoke up for the first time. "Maybe," he suggested gently, "we could all try to explain ourselves a little better next time. Less assuming, more talking."

Author's Note

Hi everyone! Hope you are doing well. The message above is something I relate to personally and want to throw some light on it as well. See everyone idk about your subjective situation but I've personally seen a lot of friendships being broken due to simple misunderstandings and ik it's not an easy move to make the first step but as my audience I want you all to reflect not the moment with bitter memories but with the ones which were sweet enough to remain for life long. Actually what I'm saying may hurt someone's feelings but believe me it is better than regret years down the line. I hope you all mend your relationships or at least give or receive some closure due to better communication.

Thank you

Ansh knew Kiara well. Beneath her tough exterior, she was a sensitive soul, a fact he admired. The misunderstanding had hurt her deeply, and seeing her sadness mirrored in Ayush's eyes made him hope they could work things out.

Ayush found himself drawn to Ansh, seeking solace in his friend's quiet wisdom.

They sat on the edge of the cricket pitch, the musical chirp of crickets filling the twilight air. Ayush kicked a stray pebble across the dusty ground, his voice heavy with regret. "Man, I messed up big time with Kiara."
