"Well, what does our fearless leader have for us next?" Betty said sarcastically
I glared at her "Well I need to look at my notes and find my first suspect,"
"So who is it?" Edith asked warily
"I don't know yet, I just finished Interrogations,"
"Well, Hurry up I don't want to have to wait," Edward said snarkily
"Gee that sucks for you," I turned around and walked out of the cabin.
I kept staring at my notes waiting for an idea to pop into my head.
"Ugh.. I thought this would be easier. I mean Ernest had a motive but why was Charles not answering any of my questions? This is so complicated..."
"Umm.. well I guess I'll pick Charles," I walked out back into the cabin; all of the passengers were staring at me
"Well?" Margret asked
"From looking at my notes I have determined my first subject,"
"Ok?? Who is it?"
"Charles,"
"WHAT ME?!"
"YES YOU. YOU REFUSED TO PARTICIPATE AND YOU KNEW THAT!"
"Ok well we have a suspect, what is your evidence?" Margret asked
"He refused to answer any of my questions,"
"You don't have any other evidence?" Ernest asked
"Well, what do you suggest me do since your so smart,"
"You could search the train and figure out how the murderer did it,"
"Oh," I said, shocked "That's actually a good idea!"
"I know it is," he replied.
I rolled my eyes "Well who wants to help me search, because I'm not searching this entire train by myself,"
"I will," Ernest immediately replied.
"No," I said.
"I will," Edith responded
"Thank you," I said, "Where do you want to search?"
"Um I look at the driver's compartment,"
"Ok, I'll check the party room,"
We both walked into our assigned car and started searching. I stepped into the room. Brings back great memories. I searched around the room; it was pitch black and I could barely see. I was walking around trying to find a light until
"OW," I stubbed my heel on a chair. I was hopping around on my foot until I fell on the ground
"Oh, that's convenient," There was a lantern on the ground. I picked it up and turned the light on. I was next to the bar. I stumbled over to behind the counter where the bartender
would be. I grabbed a mini bottle of rosé and snuck it into my pocket, but when I was examining the wine display I saw something strange.
"What's that?" I picked up a peculiar bottle from the shelf. It looked different than any other bottle on the shelf. It was hidden behind two tall bottles of cabernet. It was a translucent emerald-green color—really quite pretty, in a way.
It had a little, wrinkled looking label on it. I angled the bottle near the light from the lamp so I could read the small letters clearly.
It said "Rat Poison"
"Well, I guess I found the murder weapon,"
I ran out of the room to show the people what I found
"I found something!" Me and Edith both yelled
"Wait, you found something?" I said, perplexed
"Look, I found a glass on the ground," she said "I think that means that he might have ingested the poison from a drink,"
"Oh, good job!" I said "I found a bottle of rat poison. I think that the perpetrator might have used this,"
"Well, I don't see any use in those," Betty said, trying to get on my nerves.
"Well, I don't see any use of you still being on this train, but here we are." I said, mocking her.
She scoffed at me but left me alone.
"I think we should all get some rest. It's almost midnight, we have a long day ahead of us."
Everyone went to their rooms, shut their doors, and said a silent good night.
