I woke up and it was pitch black.
"I guess I slept through the day," I said, checking my watch, it read 2:06. "I need to go to the lavatory," I wandered over to the lavatory. I knocked on the door
"Occupied,"I recognised her voice, it was Margeret. She walked out
"Hi Shirley!" she said with a wide smile as she walked back to her room
I walked into the lavatory and closed the door behind me
"What's that?" I picked up a small marron notebook that was lying on the floor next to the door. I opened the door
"I think you left this, Margret," trying to get her attention but she was gone. "I'll just give it to her in the morning," I thought I wandered back to my room and rolled around in my bed, eyeing Margret's notebook. Eventually I succumbed to curiosity and I opened the book and almost immediately I saw a folded up piece of paper sticking out from the side of the notebook. I pulled it out and unfolded the
piece of paper, it appeared to be Margret's father's will and testament.
"Why is this here?" I put the paper next to the dim lit lantern on my nightstand. I skimmed through the paper and saw one sentence sticking out like a sore thumb
"I dedicate 58% of my earnings to my one and only daughter Margret Sanders,"
"Well that must be a lot of money considering how high end this company is," I thought "This is getting suspicious." I continued flipping through the pages until I came across this little gem.
Dear Diary, It's me Margret,
I feel like I'm going insane, I just found my fathers will and he said that he was giving me 60% of his money or was it 50%... Well that doesn't matter. I know that I sound greedy and I don't have a reason to do this but I just really want that money. Maybe using that I could go to university. Well, I'll keep you posted
Yours Truly,
Margret Sanders
"It was Margret?!" I was utterly shocked this was the most blatant piece of evidence I've seen in my life. Finally the case is solved.
