your shocked stare turned into a glare while suna studied your features. it's been six months since you broke up and yet, to him, you were still the prettiest girl he has ever seen except...

you never wore the same smile that made him fall for you.

"we both called you here again because you both played the same song for the audition and i was impressed. i wanted to hear you both play it together but it seems like.. you both got some crazy tension between you two."

kai ito— or more known as kaito, the leader of the band, said as he awkwardly watched you both stare at each other. "do you think they know each other, aoki?" he whispered to his sister but it was loud enough for you to hear.

aoki ito— or aoki, the band's drummer and kaito's younger sister, shrugged at her brother. "i don't know him." you said, still glaring at him.

'ouch,' suna thought as he cleared his throat. "i don't know her either." you looked away from him. in your gaze, there was anger but in his gaze, it was longing but from afar, it looked like he was taunting you due to your height differences.

"okay.." kaito awkwardly clears his throat, "so, uh, let's start with introductions. my name is kai ito but you can call me kaito. i'm the leader and vocal of the band and this beside me is my sister, aoki ito," she waves her hand with a lazy smile, "she's the drummer of the band."

it was silent for a minute; the siblings waited for your introductions, but neither you nor suna spoke yet because you were also both waiting for one another to speak.

"su—"

"my name's—"

you looked at him with an annoyed expression, "sorry, you first," suna said even though he knew he spoke first. "my name's l/n y/n but you can call me y/n." you gave them a slight bow as suna glanced at you, so softly, and of course, aoki noticed this.

"suna, suna rintarou." somewhat satisfied with your introductions, kaito clasps his hands. "okay, now that you know each other, why don't you shake hands? for a peaceful intent since we'll be together as a band."

oh, dare i say the brown-haired boy is excited to hold your hand— shake your hand, rather. suna held out his hand, looking at you softly as he patiently waited for your hand to shake his.

you looked at him skeptically, hesitating whether to shake it or not but since you're going to be together now that you're bandmates, might as well be professional and not let past, personal issues get in the way, right?

you eventually shook his hand. your skin was as soft as he remembered and your touch was as gentle as ever. he missed it; he missed holding your soft, gentle hands, he missed your touch.

it stayed like that for at least five seconds until you pulled your hand away. you're not even going to deny though, you missed his touch too.

after all, he was your first and you were his first in everything— except the sex part, though, if you were thinking about that.

soon, you and suna both re-performed your auditions but this time, together but at a distance, just as kaito asked you. as expected, the ito siblings were once again impressed; you two would make a great pair and honestly, kaito was thinking about adding that hysteria cover to the gig that's happening in three months.

basically like the intro and your debuts as an official member of the band.

while kaito talked about his brilliant idea to aiko, suna sat next to you, but at a distance and on the floor. you saw this in your peripheral vision but you paid no attention to it and focused on tuning your baas.
