It was a normal day for most people in Japan, the cloudy skies  brewing a storm for later hours as most bustled through the streets and to work. A mother pushing her kids in a stroller, their sleeping faces innocent and young as they rested, could be seen on a street corner as she walked quickly. She spoke hurriedly on her phone, pulling papers and keys from her purse as she neared a small building, its bricks cracked and old in the light. She pushed her key steadily into the lock, a small jingle sounding from inside once she stepped through the doorway. Her footsteps hit the ground steadily, reaching the unstable looking elevator as she pressed the button. Noises from the phone could be heard, the male sounding voice yelling at the woman as pitiful noises sounded from deep in her throat. She attempted to speak, his harsh voice shutting her down at the same moment the elevator dinged and opened slowly, letting her in with soft music.

"You will get me my money, or I will take everything! You hear me, everything! Those little brats can say bye bye to mom too. Now get me my shit, or we're done" His harsh words ended the call, leaving a panic stricken look on the young woman's face as she glanced at her children. Their H/C hair matched their moms, mirroring her femininity as she breathed in a shaky breath. The little boy out of the two had woken up, his mothers worries nonsense to his small brain as his eyes laid on her, babbling words of fiction.

"Its alright Riko, its alright. Lets get home before you both wake up." Her soft words carried in the elevator, prompting her to look at the floor as she realized she never pressed the button. Once she did, the box jumped up, making the woman grab the ledge of metal extended on the sides of her so she wouldn't go falling. Once they reached their floor, number three, the stroller was pushed by her turning left at their destination as her son continued to spew non-cognitive words from his two year old mouth. Her key rattled in the doorway, failing once before it unlocked with a soft click. She pushed the heavy stroller inside, navigating it through the narrow hallway before reaching the small living room where she parked it and took her shoes off before anything got dirty. Soon, she unbuckled her children, letting her son crawl around as she picked her daughter up carefully, hoping she wouldn't wake.

"Mur.. Mama?" A soft voice whispered, the (H/C) haired woman sighing as a soft smile graced her lips. The small girl rubbed her eyes sleepily, cuddling into her mom's chest as the older woman walked through their small apartment. The two girls shared that moment, although sometimes broken by the small squabbling of Riko.

"Y/N darling, what do you want for dinner? I know your sleepy, but we need to eat. I can make some chicken nuggets, hm? Does that sound alright?" The woman's voice rumbled through her daughter, the younger girl nodding into her mom's neck as the older one chuckled. She set her down in a chair softly, close enough to the kitchen so she could see her. Her mom busied herself with finding the young boy in their family, scooping him up once she did and setting him on another chair so she could make their respective meals. Soon everyone was eating peacefully, or about as peaceful as a five and two year old can eat. The (H/C) haired woman smiled, feeding her son the chopped up nuggets in tandem with her daughter. She got more and more lost in thought, thinking of how she would pay her bills, along with the man from before as her smile slowly morphed closer to a frown.

"Mommy! Look, Mommy!" The little girl's shrill voice broke her mother from her daydream, the woman looking over to see what was wrong. A large grin broke out on her face, unrivaled to her child's smile as she held up her finger. Instead of her finger, there was a fork in its place, shifting back to normal almost before their eyes as the girl squealed happily.

"Mommy I got my Quirk! I Got it!"

"I know sweetie! Oh, I'm so happy (Y/N)! You're so awesome my little love-bug!" The older woman scooted closer to her daughter, grabbing her and hugging her tightly as they both celebrated this special moment. Riko smiled along with them, flapping his arms as they all hugged each other like nothing would ever go wrong. Because at that moment nothing could go wrong. But alas, all good things must come to an end at some point, right?
