A Problem

Training was always something Y/N despised. I mean, sure it helps her become a better hero in the end but for what? Getting beat up by her mother's sidekicks constantly and being told it's to make her better? Yeah, she would rather watch Netflix and procrastinate over her homework until the last minute like she always does. But instead here she is, fighting to get out of a choke hold from said sidekick with her mom yelling out encouragement from the sidelines.

"Try not to face plant when you're tossed around sweetie, it gives you wrinkles!" The H/C haired woman laughed from the side of the room, wearing casual clothing and snacking on a bag of trail mix. Her black eyes glinted with mischief, a small smile on her face as she got up to break the two apart.

"Alright, alright. Enough Ichika. You're gonna give the poor girl back problems with how much you throw her around like a rice sack."

A tall grey haired woman let go of Y/N, helping the younger girl up as she dusted herself off. The woman had on a tight tank top, and some sweatpants, showing the different colored skin marking she had as she jogged to get some water.

Ichika Okuma

Hero name: Two Face

Quirk: Yin and Yang- The quirk user can switch control between using two powers; the power of light and the power of darkness

"Love bug! That was a great match, although you could definitely do without the grand slamming and trying to crawl your way out through the vents." Chiyo Noya, Y/N's mother chuckled softly, offering her daughter some trail mix as she declined out of breath.

"Did I ever tell you that your quirk could technically be used in the medical field?"

"Eh?" Y/N huffed, sitting on the ground in exhaustion as her mother joined her, Ichika soon sitting besides them with extra water as the woman continued.

"I mean, just think about it. You could make your fingers into, say anesthesia. Boom, free medical grade anesthesia for whatever you may need it for. Or, maybe, say, an inhaler. You never know" the woman shrugged her shoulders, offering her friend some of her trail mix as they both shared the food.

"That's... Actually a pretty good idea for rescues. Maybe, we could train with that? Later, of course but, you know." She smiled, gazing thoughtfully at the two as her mind went back to when she could've died in the USJ attack. About when her friend could have died.

"Anyways, back to training! I want to see how much you've improved your quirk from our last sparring session!" Y/N was broken out of her thoughts by Ichika's voice, a nod of determination at the woman's words as she got up.

They stood before each other on a slim mat, spanning across the large room they were in. Chiyo sat on a bench to the side, across from a giant window going from one end of the room to the other. This let in plenty of light, and also views of the other agency next door. The two were in their fighting position, one crouched and the other stood open.

"On your marks! Get set! Go!" When the older woman on the side said go, A giant spot of light swam at Y/N like a hungry fish. The girl planted other feet, making a shield out of her right arm as the force pushed her back a few feet. She grit her teeth, forcing herself to gain the feet she lost as the other woman lessened her force.

'crap, she's going from underneath' the girl barely had time to dodge the woman's attack from under her as long black tendrils snapped at her ankles. She changed her arm into a long blade, sliding a good chunk of the extra limbs as it slithered back to its owner.

"Hm. Good one." The dual woman taunted Y/N, the girl gritting her teeth as she deactivated her quirk and analyzed her.

'She's still stood in her originally pose!? Man, I hate training. What am I even supposed to do?' She sighed, charging headfirst as usual when she doesn't have a plan, making her arm a smooth ball and chain as she flung it closer to the woman. She merely held up a light wall, cracks forming where the ball had flung into the surface. It continued on like this, walls of light and darkness being cracked and even broken by the younger girls array of weapons until she was close enough to lunge.
