Chapter 22

- the next day

I've talked to Jaden and he agreed to take Jarod in while Nessa and Josh get situated even though he was a little bit nervous since we have a toddler and a child.

Me and Jaden arrived at Nessa house seeing moving boxes on their front porch.
"Those are Josh he's starting to move out"
Nessa opened up the door revealing the status of her house that was all over the place.
"Don't mind the mess I was too depressed too clean this up"
Nessa chuckled cleaning up magazines of bikini models.
"Jarod I told you to stop ordering these online"
Nessa shouted throwing out the magazines
"hey! You gave me money and I brought a responsible purchase"
Jarod came out of his room exhaling smoke from the vape he had in his hand.
"Oh hey uncle Jay and Brooke"
Jarod took out his hand wanting a high five from Jaden but Jaden just kept his hands in his pockets "hey Jarod"
Jaden stood there awkwardly "Jarod I think your mother wants to have a chat with you and your sister."
The second I stopped my sentence Gisele's door opened and she ran down the stairs "make this quick before my friends call me" Gisele said in sas sitting on the living room couch next to Jarod as Nessa pulled up a chair
"well the past weeks have been rough and even though me and your father are getting a divorce this family needs to be separated for a couple of days."
Nessa looked at the floor fidgeting with his hands "gosh mom can you talk"
Nessa look at Gisele then rolled her eyes "I've talked to some people and while me and your father get officially divorced you two are going to be separately living with Brooke and Jaden or Addison and Bryce."
"I call Bryce and Addison" Jarod raised his hand taking his vape out of his pocket with his other hand that Nessa snatched "I'm sorry to inform you but you are going with Brooke and Jaden tonight so go pack your bags"
Jarod got up and walked to his room
"Does that mean I'm never going to see you again?" Gisele started crying seeing all the heavy layers of mascara she had running down her cheeks "no it's just going to be temporary this separation but once your mom gets better and finds a place you guys will be able to see each other again." I sat down next to Gisele since this conversation Nessa was having reminded me the time my parents got divorce and my dad had to move out and I was crying for days.

Jarod came back down with a duffle bag and a backpack ready to leave
"Let me just make sure you don't have anything a teenager shouldn't have" Jaden went behind Jarod and opened his bags taking out stuff he thought he would secretly bring. "Well I will contact you when I will need him back"
Nessa chuckled giving Jarod a hug
"Don't worry Nessa we will fix him up"
I ruffled Jarod's hair that was already messy.

Once we got in the car Jarod was just quiet on his phone with his AirPods in that Jaden kept looking back at
"Hey Jarod do you want chick fil la" Jaden asked looking through the mirror "yeah sure" Jarod lifted his head then back on his phone "this is going to be interesting" Jaden mumbled "relax we're doing it to help our friends"
