Chapter 37

A little bit later I hear serines
"Jaden.. what did you do"
I tried getting Jaden to say something but he wasn't answering my question
"Just get the emergency stuff and get situated"
Jaden ran back up the stairs
Hearing the front door open with foot steps come in the house and shouts
"Bryce?"
Ellie questioned as she heard Bryce's voice
A bit later Bryce came down the basement
"You guys are safe"
He hugged us all tightly
"Don't worry about it, Jaden has it all control so let's get you guys out"
"Bryce why isn't Jaden saying anything"
Bryce sigh and started whispering
"Just don't worry about it, just get your kids safe and protected"
As Bryce said that I knew we were in danger so I nodded my head and grabbed the safety emergency bags

After I got our stuff me and the kids were upstairs in the living room seeing the house filled with police all around my room hearing the walkie talkies go off and dogs sniffing the area
"What the fuck-"
I said quietly holding coopers hand
"Just get the kids safe.. I'm figuring this out"
Jaden slowly rubbed my cheek
"Where the hell do I go?"
I complained having no clue where to go
"Can we have Ellie and cooper for a moment"
A police officer walked towards me and Jaden
"We just want to ask some questions about this strange man in windows to get an idea what's happening"
Me and Jaden nodded our heads and placed the kids on the couch
"Brooke you can finish packing"
Jaden whispered pulling me to the side
"Jaden why can't I be involved for once"
I whisper upset
Jaden took a breath before replying leaning in my ear
"We can go to Las Vegas I know people there"
Jaden completely ignored my question and walked away, as he walked away I pull his arm
"Jaden Hossler why am I not involved.. what are you hiding"
Jaden just looked into my eyes that said "I'm sorry but I can't tell you"
"Jaden please"
I particularly begged shaking his arm pulled his arm away again and walked to the kitchen
"Fine, if you want want to tell me im hoping its not important"
I stood there staring at Jaden talking to officers before I ran upstairs to more police officers.
I walked into me and Jaden's room searching for stuff I'm sure I can't have but it was the only way to cope
"Brooke?"
Bryce was on the other side of the door as I was about to light up my stick
"Bryce?"
I put the lighter and stick down as I opened the door
"Um you're not allowed to be up here"
I raised my eyebrow
"It's my house I can do whatever I want"
Bryce grabbed my arm
"You fucking bitch"
I reached out for the door nob
"Brooke how about it's time for you to leave"
"Just let me grab one more important item"
Bryce sighs and lets go as I went back into the room and put the stack and lighter in my pockets
