Author's PoV:

Ayan returned to the stage after almost half an hour. He had given assurance to Daneen that he would help her but he was yet to plan out what he would be doing. “I'll try calling people from his friend circle,” he thought.

Ayan kept his eyes on the ground, hurrying back and hoping that nobody had seen him with Daneen. He wasn't doing anything wrong, he knew, but the others were not aware of that.

“Where were you?” he heard as soon as he took his seat.

“Why? Did you miss me?” He turned to her and smiled.

Feiha narrowed her eyes at him. “Don't play smart,” she said with a raised eyebrow, “tell me.”

“I had to meet some of my friends, they were in a hurry so they couldn't come inside to meet you,” he lied. Feiha searched his face. He looked different from how he was some minutes ago. “They asked me to convey their greetings to you.”

Feiha nodded at him but didn't tear her gaze. Ayan saw the dissatisfaction in her eyes and he expected her to question him. He thanked the Almighty when they were informed that it was about time that they should have their dinner.

At the table they didn't get to converse much as they were accompanied by their family members. Hafeez Hamdan and Khadija, along with Hania, were there too. They all had their feast in peace and the couple finally decided to leave for their home after being done with the evening.

“You should start packing your stuff by tomorrow ,” Ayan spoke as he removed his tie and unbuttoned his shirt.

Feiha was sitting in front of the dressing table and taking off her jewellery when she heard him and turned around. She was still wearing the heavy dress and the dupatta sat lazily on her shoulders.

He stood near the balcony, his chest and abdomen visible to her. He had not taken his garment completely off but it was enough to make her take a deep breath.

“What do you mean?” She frowned.

“We will be moving into our own new apartment the day after tomorrow,” he was now massaging his neck with his eyes closed.

“So soon?” She asked. He had begun to slip his shirt down his shoulders and arms. Deep breaths, she reminded herself.

He nodded, “The sooner, the better.”

Feiha didn't understand what he meant by that but she didn't care about it. She was busy admiring the perfect form of her husband who was now standing with his back turned to her, the curve of his upper back and the smallness of his small waist in full display.

“I'm sure he's a gym freak,” she thought and blushed as she studied his muscles. They looked like they were the result of lots of hard work

“When will you be resuming your studies?” he suddenly turned to her but didn't look at her. He was busy with his phone.

Feiha’s mouth dropped open as soon as her gaze landed on his abs. If she had been thirsting after looking at his back, then his front side had her almost drooling.

Ayan heard her and looked up in confusion, only to smirk when he saw her red cheeks. Feiha looked away in embarrassment, turning abruptly to the mirror and beginning to take off her bangles.

She was trying to calm herself down when suddenly felt warmth on her back.

Ayan was now standing behind her, his eyes drinking her up. Feiha stood up and tried to leave but was stopped immediately when Ayan quickly managed to cage her between himself and the wall. He was still shirtless.
