Y/n POV:

I am laying down on my bed. My head is hurting from not sleeping for 36 hours. One of the Lost Boys was up crying all night because of a nightmare that kept reoccurring every time he closed his eyes.

"Y/n! Hey, one of the-" Pan stopped talking once he saw me laying down. "Hey, you good?" He asks with concern.

"Yeah! What does one of the Lost Boys need?" I ask pretending to be fine.

"Matthew needs help with his shirt. One of the other boys accidentally ripped it but I can handle it if you just want to-"

"No, no, I got it. I am their Mother after all." I say as I quickly get up.

"Are you sure?" Pan asks.

"Yeah, yeah, positive." I lie.

Pan gives me a look that says 'I don't believe you but you are as stubborn as they come" look.

I give him a kiss on the cheek as I walk past him out of the tent. I walk over to Matthew, who is sitting on a log a little bit away from the tent looking down.

"Hey, Matthew, let's see your shirt." I say soothingly.

Matthew moves his arm to show me that the cloth is cut down the middle of the side.

"Well, that's an easy fix. Come on!" I say energetically.

A smile fills Matthew's face as he gets up and runs into the tent. I shake my head and laugh a little.

The Lost Boys always make me laugh.

After I fix Matthew's shirt, he runs back out to play with the others. I lean my head on the wall. Exhaustion filling my body again.

"Hey, Y/n," I open my eyes to see Devin standing in the middle of the doorway still looking outside. "can you come help Felix, Tyler, and I with this?"

"Yeah, I can." I say as I get up.

Devin finally looks at me with a look of concern.

"You good?" He asks.

"Yeah, why?" I ask pretending to be okay again.

"You sounded not okay." He says hesitantly.

"I'm fine. Now, what do you guys need help with?" I ask.

Devin gives me a look that says 'I don't want to tell you anymore because I can tell you aren't okay' look.

"I am going to help you with this. Now, spit it out." I say.

"Okay, come on." Devin says.

I follow him.

"We need to finish tying the cage so we can hang it up for the animal trap. Then, we need help carrying it there so Tyler and Felix can hang it up." Devin explains.

"Got it."

We get to the spot where Felix and Tyler already have the logs on top of each other.

"Hey, Y/n. Thanks for helping us." Felix says as he continues to look at his work.

"Yeah, thanks Y/n. Now, do you think you can tie off the corners next to mine?" Tyler asks.

"Yeah, I got it." I say and I start to get to work.

As we are working, Devin and Felix keep giving me quick glances. They are my best friends so it doesn't surprise me that they know something's up.

I finish my side just as the others finish theirs. I tilt my head at my side. Something doesn't look right.
