PART: 21

Dark Slay Kingdom

[In dark valley]

The day next to the night unfolding the cryptic truth, Jong-in was lying on the ground senseless. Shortly after his lashes fluttered and he opened his eyes realizing his surrounding. He felt a surge of energy flowing in him. But nothing was able to distract his mind from what he saw moments ago. His eyes turned teary reminding the moments.

Jong-in: So he's not only the reason of my misery.

Flashback:

After the Wizardry sucked him into it's magic he opened his eyes in a very familiar place. He looked around his mother's room feeling it was being used by someone, not like one which was locked in his palace.

Suddenly the door opened with a bang with his mother dragging his old self with her inside the room and locking it behind her. He was shocked for a moment but realized that the Gate has lead him to the reflection of the time which he wanted to get to know about. He snapped out from his thoughts when he heard his mother's cries.

Nayeon had took her son inside the closet and made it invisible by magic. Just as she did, the lock broke and Lazarus entered the place with expression of fury plastered on his features. Jong-in stood there seeing the same scenes of past which he couldn't forget.

Lazarus: What do you think of yourself! You're trying to make me lose just after I'm so close to my target.

Controlling her emotions Nayeon replied with a stoic expression.

Nayeon: You think I will let you make me a part of your sin. I won't let you do something like this. If I've known you're with me just to use my powers to destroy the Alpha of Almighty Pack and kill their Luna to get her powers.

Lazarus: So dumb you are. You really thought I loved you.

He started laughing and Nayeon's heart was breaking into peices while Jong-in clenched his fist knowing what was going to happen and the reason behind his mother's death.

He stopped laughing and without any second thought he started choking her. Absorbed by emotions he tried to detach them but only to remain unsuccessful in touching their bodies. He cried as he saw his mom turning into ashes as Lazarus killed his mom right infront of his eyes once again. Laughing out loud he grabbed those ashes and summoned her whole energy into them and caged them into the same crystal before whispering some words.

Lazarus: Now this crystal will destroy only with my soul.

Saying that he emerged while Jong-in dropped on his knees and cried his heart out witnessing the whole scene. Just then the closet emerged out of invisibility as the magic ended with his mother's presence. Little Jong-in emerged from it and sat down near his mother's remainings and cried.He spent minutes being numb and staring at the scene.

Jong-in wanted to hug his lettle self but he knew he couldn't. Realizing Lazarus was gone to do something which wasn't supposed to happen according to his mother, he left in hurry and saw Lazarus at a distance going somewhere but wasn't able to cope up with his speed as his powers weren't working. After some moments he reached a place to meet another heart wrenching scene.

He saw the girl his father was so eager to kill in present time with a man he supposed as the Alpha he heard about, were standing across with a sword in his hand while her eyes held tears. But within a moment the sword slipped off his hand and he moved back as if realizing something.
