Author's POV:
Chanyeol: Are you betraying Jong-in?
He said to which Jennie's expression hardened.
Jeenie: You can say yes.
Jong-in: What?
They both startled as they saw him walking towards them with a questionable gaze. Jennie's expressions calmed looking at him. She rushed to him and asked about his whereabouts.
Jennie: You're here finally. Where were you all this time? I was so worried. Are you fine?
She said and was about to touch his hand in attempt to check for any wounds but he pulled back his hand.
Jong-in: What were you both talking about? What did you meant by you betrayed me?
He said to which Chanyeol became nervous but Jennie's face was devoid of any distress.
Jennie: Nothing. Actually we were talking about your disappearance. I said that it happened because of me then he abruptly asked this question and I was so devastated that I said yes.
She said with a sad expression while Jong-in's eyes softened and Chanyeol stood confused.
Jong-in: How was it your fault?
Jennie: Yesterday I left you alone there. Only if I had stayed then maybe nothing would have happened. I betrayed you by breaking our promise of never leaving each other in any hard time.
She said with eyes filled with slight tears while Jong-in chuckled feeling her reason silly.
Jong-in: You're so silly, Jennie. Nothing happened because of you but you helped me alot. Thanks for your help.
He said after which Jennie asked impatiently.
Jennie: Why, did you got something?
She said making him fall in dilema of whether he should tell her or not.
Jong-in: No, I didn't but tried your best to help and I spent my time in finding other way.
Jennie: Oh.
Chanyeol: What are you both talking about?
He said in between making them realize that he was there too.
Park Chanyeol, Jong-in's bestfriend and the only person who knows about everything from past and he's the most trusted person of his prince. Jong-in always treated him like a big brother and always shared everything to him. They're bestfriends from the time Jong-in's mother was alive.
Jong-in: I'll tell you everything later hyung.
He said to which Chanyeol nodded and left. Jong-in turned to Jennie.
Jong-in: You should go and rest. And don't roam in palace too much okay.
He said and left not before patting her head.
