Author's POV:
Staring at the starry night he stood in the balcony crossing his hands near his chest being lost in the memories he made in this same place. From the confession of love to the painful reminders of life. Suddenly Y/n's scent lingering with her emotions of sadness hit him making him know that she's here. He felt his own heart clenching knowing he is the reason of it.
Y/n: Jungkook!
She called him, not from afar. He turned around saw her standing a few inches far from him. The distance was small yet they were far, her eyes holding an emotion which reflected his own.
Y/n: I'm tired.
She looked at him for some time but getting no response she turned away feeling her own eyes warming. Just then she felt a gentle grip around her body and the tears gathered in her eyes feeling the warmth after so long.
Jungkook: Rest then.
He took her in his arms and walked inside. Gently placing her on bed he turned away but she gripped his hand. He looked at her with a blank face.
Y/n: Don't leave me.
But but his gaze remained fixed on her while his expression remained unfazed. She slowly left his hand and turned her head sideway.
Y/n: I'm sorry.
She heard his footsteps walking away while a tear dropped from her eyes. Just after a while she gasped as she got lifted again. She saw his face but he didn't looked at her and settled on bed taking her on his lap. His back resting on headboard as he made her comfortable in his lap and took her in his embrace making her rest her head on his chest. He started caressing her head with one hand while other resting on her waist.
Surprise, Comfort, Warmth, Longing and a lot more emotions muddled together making her close her eyes and hug him tightly as if she let him go he would disappear. He too felt the complexities of her emotions feeling a bit guilty about his behavior earlier but wasn't ready to show her.
Jungkook: Don't think I'm doing this for you, I'm doing this for our pack, cause if you didn't rest well then you won't be able to fight tomorrow and-
Y/n: Will die by those vampires hands, right?
His hand stopped caressing her head. She opened her eyes realizing what she just said while he remained froze.
Y/n: I-I'm sorry.
His arms tightened around her pulling her more into himself he snuggled in her.
Jungkook: Nothing will happen to anyone, even you.
Y/n: Yes nothing will happen.
She said and looked up at his face. She felt his fear, she knew no matter what he showed but he still cared. No misunderstanding could overcome his love and care.
For a minute they just stared at each other while he rested his palm over her cheek.
Y/n: Why are you being like this?
