Jimin gently placed the bottle inside the refrigerator with one hand, his other hand holding his phone close to his ear as he made the call to Jungkook. Soon, Jungkook answered the call.
"Yes, Chim?" Jungkook's voice came from the other end, sounding curious.
Jimin took a deep breath before speaking, "Are you free today, Kookie?"
"Umm, why?" Jungkook asked, his tone slightly hesitant.
"Actually, I'm going to Daegu for some work," Jimin explained, a hint of disappointment in his voice.
Jungkook hummed, "What kind of work?"
"You can say it's family-related. I'm going alone, so I thought to call you. You can join me once I finish my work, maybe we can do some shopping and hang out there? Then we'll return the next day?" Jimin suggested, his eyes filled with hope.
Jungkook's heart sank as he replied, "Sorry, Chimmie. I would love to go with you, but my parents are coming tomorrow, and I have some work to do. Moreover, Hyung won't let me go out before my parents return home." Jimin could hear the sullen tone in Jungkook's voice.
Jimin rolled his eyes, "That old man is such an annoying ass...oh my god!! Why don't you just send him back where he came from?" He exclaimed, frustration evident in his tone.
Jungkook chuckled, trying to lighten the mood, "Leave it. I'll join you some other day. Be careful and take care, Chim."
Jimin hummed, "Yeah, let's see you soon then," he said, a hint of sadness in his voice, before ending the call.
As Jimin put down the phone, he couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that Jungkook couldn't join him. He knew Jungkook's parents were important to him, and he didn't want to interfere with that. Sighing, Jimin grabbed his bag and headed out the door, determined to make the most of his trip to Daegu.
