Taehyung took a deep breath, steeling himself before knocking on the door of his grandpa's bedroom. He knew this was the perfect time to talk; his parents were in their room, and his grandpa was likely lost in the pages of a book.

After a few seconds, he heard his grandpa's warm voice inviting him in. Taehyung twisted the knob and opened the unlocked door, stepping inside with a mix of anticipation and anxiety. His eyes scanned the room until they landed on his grandpa, comfortably seated on the bed, a book resting in his hands.

His grandpa looked up, adjusting his glasses with a gentle smile. "Oh, what's the matter, bear? Do you need something?" he asked, setting the book aside to give his grandson his full attention.

Taehyung cleared his throat, feeling the weight of the moment. "Can I sit?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Of course, take a seat," Older Kim replied, patting the mattress beside him.

Taehyung nodded and sat down, his heart racing. He wasn't scared, but the nervousness was palpable, a fluttering sensation in his chest.

Older Kim studied him, his expression calm and inviting, waiting patiently for Taehyung to find the words.

Taehyung felt a lump form in his throat as he met his grandpa's kind eyes, filled with warmth and understanding. But today, he knew he had to shatter that tranquility.

"Can we talk about my marriage, Grandpa?" Taehyung asked, his voice trembling slightly as he looked at Older Kim with hopeful yet anxious eyes.

Older Kim nodded slowly, a hint of confusion crossing his face. "Sure, bear. What do you want to discuss?"

Taehyung took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "Well, can we cancel the marriage and everything? I really don't like that guy. Even our date was a disaster. Maybe we look good together, but trust me, Grandpa, he is not the one for me. We can't stay in a relationship," he explained, his emotions spilling out as he spoke.
The weight of his words hung heavy in the air, and he hoped his grandpa would understand.

Older Kim frowned, his brow furrowing in concern. "Why? As far as I know, he likes you and is willing to be in a relationship with you. How can you know if he's the one for you or not when you haven't given him a chance? It takes time to build a relationship; you should at least give it a try," he said, his voice firm yet caring.

Taehyung stared at him in disbelief, feeling a surge of frustration.

How could his grandpa not see the discomfort etched across his face?

It was as if Older Kim was so invested in the idea of their marriage that he failed to notice Taehyung's turmoil.

"I don't like him!" Taehyung protested, his voice rising slightly, desperation creeping in.
