Five hours had passed since Taehyung had regained consciousness. During this time, everyone had spoken to him except for Older Kim and Jimin.
Yoongi had come with his parents, and they had all shared a few words with Taehyung before allowing him to rest. The atmosphere was filled with concern and love, but there was an undeniable tension lingering in the air.
Jimin, on the other hand, seemed disinterested in engaging with Taehyung. He knew everything was fabricated, that Taehyung was perfectly fine, so there was no real need for him to check up on him. He leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his expression a mix of boredom and indifference.
Meanwhile, Older Kim’s patience was wearing thin. Every time he attempted to have even a small conversation with Taehyung, asking how he was doing, Taehyung would refuse to talk to him, not even bothering to look his way.
The weight of guilt pressed heavily on Older Kim’s heart. He wanted nothing more than to be close to his bear, but now it felt as if Taehyung was pushing him away, giving him the cold shoulder he so rightly deserved.
As he observed the scene, Older Kim noticed something that made his heart ache even more: Jungkook was by Taehyung’s side, refusing to leave him even for a moment. Taehyung, instead of pushing Jungkook away, seemed to welcome his presence, encouraging him to stay.
Older Kim watched as Taehyung’s eyes sparkled when he spoke to Jungkook, a light he had never seen before. It was as if Taehyung’s entire demeanor changed in Jungkook’s company; he smiled more, laughed more, and seemed genuinely happy.
From Older Kim’s perspective, Jungkook was just Taehyung’s best friend’s brother. He shouldn’t be this close to Taehyung, and yet here they were, sharing moments that felt intimate and special.
Older Kim couldn’t help but wonder why Jungkook was so comfortable with Taehyung and why Taehyung didn’t seem to mind. It was suspicious to him,

Older Kim felt a growing frustration toward Jimin. Not once had Jimin tried to talk to or check on Taehyung by himself. His disinterest was glaringly obvious, and it seemed as if he was being forced to stay there for Older Kim’s sake and nothing more. Jimin’s lack of concern for Taehyung only deepened Older Kim’s disappointment.
::;; In the quiet of the hospital corridor, only the Kims remained with Jungkook and Jimin. Inside the room, Jungkook and Luna were with Taehyung, while Dohyung sat outside, his expression a mix of concern and frustration, flanked by Older Kim and Jimin.
“Appa... it’s my, I don’t even remember how many times I’ve told you to come home with us. Luna and I are leaving for home. Please come with us,” Dohyung said, his tone firmer than usual, lacking the softness he typically used.
