TIME SKIP: Two Days Later

It had been two days since Namseok and Jiyoon had started staying at the Kim Mansion. Though things seemed relatively calm on the surface, Taegguk and Namseok had still been at odds. Their rivalry hadn’t died down, and they continued their cold war, secretly clashing whenever they could.

Jungkook had been trying his best to keep the peace between them, doing everything he could to make things right. But Taegguk was stubborn, and Namseok wasn’t backing down either. Every little thing seemed to spark a new, silent conflict between the two boys.

Their fights were never loud or obvious, but it was the subtle jabs and cold glares exchanged over even the smallest things that caused tension.

Whether it was sitting at the dining table, bumping into each other in the hallway, or even reaching for the same object at the same time, every moment felt like an unspoken battle.

Taegguk, in particular, couldn’t seem to let go of his resentment. Every time Namseok was around, Taegguk’s mood soured, and he would find an excuse to leave the room or make a biting remark. Jungkook and Taehyung had noticed the tension, but despite their best efforts, neither boy was willing to budge.

::At the Dinner Table

It was dinner time, and the family sat around the table, sharing a meal. The atmosphere was heavy with an unspoken rivalry, the tension between Namseok and Taegguk palpable.

Jiyoon, ever observant, picked up on the awkward silence between the two boys and glanced between them nervously. He fidgeted in his seat, unsure of what to say or do.

Taehyung, who had been watching the boys carefully, decided to break the silence. “So, how’s school going, Namseok?” he asked, offering the boy a smile.

Namseok swallowed nervously, glancing briefly at Taegguk before answering. “It’s… it’s fine, Taetae Appa,” he said softly.

Taegguk snorted quietly, rolling his eyes. “Fine?” he muttered under his breath. “Could’ve fooled me.”

Namseok stiffened at the comment, his jaw tightening, but he didn’t respond.

Jungkook shot Taegguk a warning glance, his tone calm but firm. “Taegguk,” he said softly, “let’s try to keep things civil at the table, alright?”

Taegguk huffed but nodded begrudgingly, stabbing his fork into his food without looking up.

Jiyoon, sensing the rising tension, shifted in his seat and quickly changed the subject.
“Appa, Koo Papa, did you know our class has a soccer tournament coming up soon?” he said brightly, trying to lighten the mood.
