Principal Masamichi Yaga's office:
"I don't need an intern!" Geto Suguru sneered, staring at the man before him who was smiling kindly while looking at him from behind his rectangle-shaped glasses.
"I am not saying you need one, Suguru," Yaga Masamichi started. "I am simply trying to say that they could save you lots of time by taking up some of your tasks for you. This wouldn't hurt, would it?"
Oh, so now he was incapable of doing all the work on his own?
"Yes, exactly. I don't need an intern to look after my work as well. Thank you, Yaga sensei!" Geto said, getting more frustrated by the principal.
"They won't be a burden," he immediately got back. "They're barely a few years younger than you, and they already have quite some experiences with jujutsu."
Geto remained quiet, staring at the rim of the desk. His hands held tightly onto the armrests of the chair he was sitting on, refraining himself from standing up and walking away.
"Just give them a chance, dear boy. You won't regret it." Principal Yaga said, and Geto sensed there was no use in resisting. If the old man had set his mind on something, you'd have to go along with it, whether you liked it or not.
"Fine," Geto sighed, standing from his chair. "But if they manage to displease me in any way, they're out."

Three days after his conversation with Geto, principal Yaga arrived at the door of Geto's office with Y/N, a young shaman. She seemed very excited to start their new internship.
at the school.
"Come in." Geto rang out when he heard knocking, not bothering to look up.
Principal Masamichi Yaga opened the door and stepped inside, seeming just a bit too cheerful for his liking. "Suguru, meet Y/N, your intern!" he said, almost proudly. She walked into the room behind him, looking around curiously.
Her eyes rested on Geto, who sat at his desk with a stack of papers before him and a pen in his hand. He looked up with a raise of one of his stern eyebrows as his dark eyes seemed to pierce through hers.
"I'll leave you two alone now. Get to know each other a little bit, alright?" Yaga said, looking mainly at Geto before he left the room.
"So you're my intern," Geto said, more to himself than to her. "Principle Yaga said you were talented, so it shouldn't be too much of a challenge to teach my classes tomorrow, should it?"
Y/N gulped, panicking in silence while Geto started rummaging through the drawer in his desk. He took out a folder filled with papers and held them in Y/N's direction.
"All you need to know about the children and the cursed material is in here."Geto said as she took the folder from him.
"Take your time to read that. You'll need it." Suguru said, sitting back in his chair again and continuing with whatever he was doing before she and Yaga had come into his room.
Y/N stood there in silence for a bit, speechless by what had just happened. It was going to be a challenge to get through this internship with a mentor like this. She was almost considering if she'd made a mistake.
"See you tomorrow at the classroom," Geto said in dismissal, not looking up from his paper.
This shook her out of thoughts, after which she muttered, "Goodnight, Geto san," and got out of his office as quickly as possible.
It was definitely not going to be easy, but he had been right: she sure was very talented. And she was going to prove it to him soon enough.
———
The next day, Geto was the first to be in his classroom. He sat down at the desk in the back, smirking as he thought of what was about to happen today.
He could see with his own eyes if Y/N was as good as Yaga swore she was, and above all, he had a day off. All he had to do was keep an eye on her.
"Good morning, Geto San." Y/N's nervous voice rang out as she entered the classroom, holding a black notebook and the folder Geto gave her the day before.
Geto leaned back in his chair. "Morning, Y/N. Ready for your first day?"
A smile appeared on her face as she took a deep breath. "I do believe so."
Geto, although surprised by your confidence, nodded silently. If today would actually work out, then Yaga might've been right about her. Plus, some extra hands and eyes in the class was never a bad idea.
The first hour of the day was a class of fourth year's, and there were 8 students. The students liked Geto over the years, despite how stern he was.
Soon the students started arriving, most getting into their seats while talking with each other, some staring silently ahead as they sat down. Everyone took their books from their bags, placing them down on the table before them.
Y/N looked back at Geto for reassurance, but he simply looked at the students as they got into their seats, one by one. In his opinion, he was simply here to test how good she really was. Which meant seeing how long she could last without his interference. How mean. At least he could introduce her with the students.
With a deep sigh, Y/N looked back into the classroom after looking down at her watch. It was time to start the class.
"Alright everybody, please be quiet," she said, closing the door with a flick of her index finger. When it was quiet, she started to talk. "Hi, I'm Y/N, an intern here at Jujutsu High Tech for the upcoming few months. I will be teaching this class today."
"Why doesn't Geto sensei teach us? Aren't interns only some sort of assistants?" A voice rang out in the back of the classroom.
Y/N sighed. "Who was that? I suggest raising your hand if you want to add something valuable to the lesson. If not, keep quiet."
The owner of the voice kept quiet this time, but she decided to address the question anyway.
"As for Geto sensei, he will be here to watch me as I teach this class to ensure all goes well, but he'll be taking a step back from teaching for a bit."
A disappointed hum could be heard through the room, but Y/N didn't let that change her demeanor. "If that's not to your liking, you can leave and come back in a few months. Your choice."
In the back of the class, Geto smirked. This was exactly what this and so many more classes needed. He was starting to enjoy this already.
"Any more questions?" She asked, but as the class remained silent, she nodded. "Alright, let's start, then. Turn to page 108 in your books, please."
