The teens gasped, not understanding what they just witnessed as they remained huddled together."yeah no.. I'm good in the middle of the woods with that skunk we passed." Sam shook his head, looking disapprovingly at the wooden arch.
"Nory, I could really use one of those pep talks where you tell me I'm a flame throwing rockstar because this is a lot." Reina trembled lightly, staring at the magical hole.
"What about me?" Sam scoffed in an offended tone. "You don't want a pep talk from me?"
"You can give me a pep talk instead." A voice jokingly came from behind the three. "Tell me I'm a flame throwing rockstar!"
"Who are you?" Sam laughed, turning to face the fair haired boy goofily. "Come here babygirl, I'll give you a pep talk!"
The two boys died at that comment unable to keep a straight face at it, unaware at people had started filing through the portal.
"Oh crap, we're moving!" The Carvajal boy gasped, grumpy his sister and her friend left him as he rushed through the arch after them, parting ways with the blondie.
Sam and the blond boy ended up being in the middle of the crowd as they moved through the magic portal, entering it to be met with a beautiful school campus with plants and flowers decorating most of the outer surroundings.
"Oh, woah.." They gasped, no one really knowing what to do after the wonder they just went through, the students trying to step off to the side to stay out of others ways.
Some students were scattered all over the lawn practicing magic. They watched kids in bright red uniforms throw fireballs and write sweet messages in the air, others flying gracefully through the air, fluxing into or talking to animals and such all across the grass.
There were lots of exquisite modern looking story buildings and the sky was bluer than any of them had ever seen.
The kids gasped at the sheer beauty of the campus, excitement and anticipation of what was to come bubbling inside them. They obviously expected something great, but this was on a whole other level and it made them elated.
After taking in the view, the students were assembled into a large hallway where they talked amongst themselves in hushed tones about all they had seen so far while waiting for their next instructions.
All their buzzing was cut short when a shrill voice piped up from the floor above. "Students! Students! Students!"
They teens looked up to see a plump redhead woman with piercing green eyes, her hair in a strange updo and wearing a formal outfit. She stayed put waiting for their attention, before starting her introduction.
"Welcome to orientation, I am Mrs Knightslinger, headmaster of sage academy." She smiled gleefully, maneuvering herself around the podium while rubbing her hands through the pristine shiny wood bars that her beneath her.
"She really likes stroking that wood..." Sam muttered awkwardly, receiving a chuckle from some of the other students around him.
"You are here because you display some measure of innate magical talent. all of you will need guidance and instructions to develop your magic correctly!" She continued, walking slowly down the stairs leading to the portion of the hall where the kids were listening intently. "The right way, the only way, the sage way!" She put her arms up and motioned to the top of a wooden door that had 'THE SAGE WAY' written as she shot fire sparks out of her palms, earning some gasps of shock.
"Yes, it's very exciting I suppose.. Now!" She rolls her eyes, probably having done this hundreds of times as she pushed open some large doors. "Sage has five distinct schools based on the five kinds of talents." She informed them, strutting into the room slowly with the young teens following closely behind her.
