As I sit there with my collective thoughts, the bells rings indicating that lunch is over. I sigh before standing up and walking over to the door.
"God damn it." I mutter, walking down the hallway seeing familiar faces. "This is not the school year for me..." I place a hand on my forehead and walk towards Ni-ki and Sunoo.
"Really? No way! Who is it? Who?!" Sunoo exclaims, shaking Ni-ki excitedly. "You gotta tell me!"
What's going on?
Ni-ki pushes him away, "None of your business, hyung!"
"Hey, hey. What's going on?" I ask, pulling them away from each other. Ni-ki tries to shut Sunoo up, but Sunoo just can't hold in his excitement.
"Ni-ki has a crush!"
"No I don't!"
My eyes widened, trying to process the information. Ni-ki? Has a crush? That doesn't sound like him at all. "Ni-ki has a crush?" I ask, reaching into his locker and snatching something.
He nods happily as Ni-ki sighs, "Fine I do. Happy?" He glares at Sunoo before leaning on his locker. "I'm not telling you who it is though."
"Oh, wow. That's unexpected."
"Don't fucking mention it." Ni-ki grunts before walking away, unlike him. I decided to just let them be because it's a new thing he's experiencing.
I make my way through the hallway, a few people calling out to me but I ignored them. The only thing on my mind is Jake. No matter what I do, I always bring him up in some way possible.
I decided to call Sunghoon, seeing if that would fix anything. I dial his number and place the phone against my ear.

Well damn. I guess I have to wait for a text or call back. But then again, it's Sunghoon. He's unpredictable.
I make my way to class as my mind is occupied with him, my hands shoved in my pockets and a lollipop in my mouth that I had stolen from Ni-ki's locker. I turn to Sunghoon and speed walk up to him. "I was trying to call you! What happened?"
He looked up at me, eyes widening. "Hey, man. I was busy."
"Doing what?"
"I was busy helping Jake." Sunghoon says, looking up and glancing around the hallway. "He kind of just disappeared after."
...What?
Faint whispers and laughs can be heard in the distance as we sit in silence. I clear my throat and glance at the end of the hall. "Why... did he? Like you know, disappear?"
Sunghoon shrugs, digging into his bag. "I don't know. Class I believe."
"Thanks for the help, I guess." I sigh, walking away.
I walk around campus, searching through each corner and corridor. I asked people if they knew where he was, but there was no sign of him.
My face looked slightly disappointed since I didn't know where he was. Did he already leave? He wouldn't do that, right? I start to question myself, asking why I didn't want to become friends with him in the first place.
However, as I was speed walking through every hall I bumped into someone. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I'll be more careful!" I say apologetically. I look up and see Mr. Chan.
"Well, Heeseung. Looking for something?" He chuckled. "Or perhaps someone?" He whispers so only I can hear, a bit of teasing in his voice. "No, but seriously what are you looking for?"
Without hesitation, I immediately blurted, "Have you seen Jake? I'm trying to find him and there's no sign of him!"
Mr. Chan raises his eyebrow, looking skeptical. "Jake? I thought he went to the library. Have you checked there? Unless you're still banned from Ms. Yeri."
"Please don't remind me of that. It was Ni-ki's fault for messing up the books." I scoff. "I'm pretty sure I'm unbanned at this point since that was last year."
"Mhm, mhm. Now, go get your man." He grins, patting my back before heading back into his classroom. Old bitch.
I walk over to the library. The smell of fresh books and Ms. Yeri's perfume fills the air as I push open the doors. I glance around the room until my eyes land on a familiar face.
Jake.
I make my way over to him, towering over him. I wait in front of him as he continues reading his book. When he finally looks up, his eyes widen.
"Heeseung! How long have you been here?" He asks, closing his book. "Actually, don't answer that. Wanna read this book? It's called–"
"We need to talk."
