The day had finally arrived.

Jia had gotten permission to bring someone along to the set while working on Cobra Kai.

Kelsey Garcia was someone Jia loved with her entire being. Mickey's niece had always had a special place in Jia's heart, mostly because she reminded Jia of herself.

So when she suggested Kelsey look into potentially going into stunt work, Jia promised to help in any way she could.

Working on Cobra Kai was a blessing and a curse. It was known all over the world for their work so for Kelsey to shadow was incredible.

It would also lend to her own credibility when it came time for jobs.

It just so happened that Kelsey was also a similar age to most of the cast, so she got along well with the cast members she encountered and worked with.

They were also super receptive and responsive to this girl they had never met, teaching them stunts, knowing she was shadowing. Not to mention, their actual coordinators were on standby and could jump in when necessary.

Jia was proud of the work Kelsey was doing, showing she knew her stuff and could pick up choreography quickly.

Kelsey was picking things up so well and teaching the moves in a way the actors could understand that the stunt team asked her back for some more shadowing, even going so far to sign some paperwork and pay her for her work.

So for the rest of the shoot, only about a month left for the season, Kelsey would come to set with Jia, working and learning more and more.

She even got to step in for one of the other performers when they fell sick. She handled it well, the nerves obvious at the beginning but settling in pretty fast.

Jia was practically vibrating in excitement as Kelsey was killing it during filming, more excited for the girl than any of her actors. (They all understood, happy for their new friend as well.)

In fact, Kelsey had shown the Cobra Kai team so much that once they came to the final season, she was asked about possibly stepping in front of the camera as an actual character for the world tournament.

Let me just say she was in shock for a few moments, unable to speak. But once she had gotten her voice back, she accepted the offer almost immediately.

She and Jia had screamed to the sky, dancing in pure joy, as the rest of Kelsey's family celebrated as well.

The cast was also excited to be seeing her again. They had all kept in touch, but with all of their schedules, meeting up was next to impossible. So knowing Kelsey would actually be on set and on camera with them, instead of for them, was fun.

All in all, Jia and Kelsey made an incredible team, a mentor and apprentice.

They were just two badass women, absolutely killing the game wherever they went.
